I was thinking about treating myself to a couple of new monitor upgrades for Christmas, but I'm not sure if it's worth it or not.
Currently my four alts run on in vertically stacked windows on two 22" monitors placed on the left and right side of my main monitor. It works well enough, but everything is very cramped. I believe all of the windows are 800X600. I don't know if a vertically configured 24" monitor would allow for a larger WoW window.
Anyone have any experience with this particular issue?

Dinkyif there's a larger viewing area, then the windows would be larger, though not necessarily higher resolution.
i'm planning on getting myself a 30" before the end of the year :D
800X600 is a kinda low resolution... I'd suggest cranking up the resolution quite a bit and seeing if that satisfies you.
If not, maybe we can work out a deal and I can buy your 22"'s off ya to help fund your new ones 8)

meh, just saying... he said he wanted more room his clones were cramped :pinch:
No arguing that bigger monitor would help tho. I guess he’s just wanting to know if its worth it and for that... up to you, personally I wouldn’t make the call unless I was able to compare the diff IRL I don’t think its going to be a blatantly obvious decision and be like night and day

Yes, this is strictly for my alt toons. My main is on a 28" Hanns-G running HUGEXHUGE resolution. :D
Exactly as Ulta said, I don't know if it's worth upgrading to 24" monitors unless I'm really gonna see some significant difference. Hoping someone else may have gone through this already.

if you are running 22" monitors rotated through 90, you should be running resolution on each instance as 1050 x 840
a 24" screen would run each instance at 1200 x 960

man all i know that a 22" screen divied 4 ways is to small for me, and I wish I had a much large screen for my alts.
I mean its sufficient, but to actualy look read and monitor the alts on the other screens can be a pain. not to mention the way I like my UI takes up to much space.
My suggestion =D... go big ive never regretted goign as big as I could with a screen purchase.
