I just discovered Multi-Box Yesterday when I came back from office.
And honestly, I was directly « WOUHAAA « Gief !
So I decided to do my own multi-box ?
Actually Im a player from Twisting Nether EU, Horde side
I have 12 level 70 chars
My project is to do 4 mage and 1 priest.
I allready have 1 mage 70 and 1 priest 70 but he is a blood elf and.
I want an undead since it’s much better in pvp.
And i twill help me to leveling.


So, Now I need some pc…
I allready have my main wich it is a dell XPS and a 24’ as monitor.
I have my old pc and a laptop wich wow is running perfectly on it.
And have more 3 monitor
So now what im needing is 2 Pc and 1 monitor
But im Short on monney so I decided to build Pc with cheap price
Hardware Config is this :

Dual core 2,2 GHZ. [ LGA775 – 2MB – 65 nm – 800 MHZ ]

Asus P5s-mx se mATX ( sis671Fx socket 775 – FSB 1066 )

DDR2 2Gb [1Gbx2] DDR 667 , Kingston

SATA300 160GB – 7200 Hitachi ( 8mb )

Geforce MSI NX8500 GT , 512 DDR Dvi Hdtv

All this for : 490 USD

Now I will Buy a Ergotron Ds100 to Mount both Monitor together.
Then : Vectra Keyboard Multicaster
Kvm switch I dont know how much I need ? 1 or 2 ?
Xkeys Pro, Y-Mouse.


Can you please tell me What Im missing there ?
And If my pc config is fine ?
And sorry if my english Isn’t Perfect Im from Switzerland french part.

5 boxing can be done a variety of ways. at one time, you would have to buy 5 machines and keyboard/mouse splitters... and go for it. then you had synergy, but you still have the same problem... 5 machines.

now you can use ahk or keyclone to enable multiple games on one machine.

my recommendation before you buy anything... spend about an hour reading the first 10 posts on the first 10 threads from the beginners haven, general, hardware and software sections. that should give you a fairly good taste of how it is done today.

I've readed a bit the forum
And atm I have my main PC wich is a dell XPS not os bad pc..
I have my old pc Wich he is enough good to play wow on it .
and have my laptop
And I use 3 monitor atm for my main PC + my laptop
So What I need Is to buy 2 new pc with the config i shared to you in my first post and 1 monitor
I can get those for 800-900 Usd I think

I dont want to run 5 Wow on my main PC
Want to have 5 machine..

If I use " KeyClone " program
Do i need to buy anythink like KVM Switch ?
Xkeys , YMouse ?
or anything other ?

Yes. Its recommended to have a Quad core PC with about 4 gig of RAM and a bloody good Graphics Card.

Also having two monitors helps a lot.

yes. keyclone will hook all your computers together as one... no kvm or xkeys needed. although, you would need to buy a keyclone license for each machine.

once installed, you can configure them to auto connect into your main keyclone. then you can start your wows on each machine, also using keyclone.

yes. if your single machine can handle all 5 (and the one you spec'd seemed like it should)... then you'd only need 1 keyclone

yes... if you have 5 PCs..and you wish to run 1+ characters per PC... then you will need 1 keyclone per machine... which is 5 total

technically... you can hook an unlimited number of keyclones together. i have personally hooked no more then 6 together at once.

No I think for start 5 will be ok hehe, will have too much Pc and monitor in my room my mum will be scared ^^ :roll:

But I will Go to buy 2 new pc instead of buying a monster pc to run 5 wow on it...

Will cost me less monney ...
the monster pc cost like 2500 USD
and for 2 other new pc with 1 monitor it will cost me 1000 USD
Choice is made fast :)
