Hi all,

I just finished power-leveling (360+) enchanting, tailoring, lw'ing. I used 95% of mats I had gathered while bringing my shamans up. By the way...Dinged 70 this week. I now have 4 of 5 toons with 360+ profs.

ToonA - Herbalism and Skinning (Main - makes sense to me since she's out front)
ToonB - Mining and Tailoring (for bags and cd's)
ToonC - Inscription and Enchanting (no need to explain)
ToonD - Leatherworking and Mining (cd's)
ToonE - This is where I need your input.

I want to know from the community if it's worth trying to level Jewel Crafting. I have a ton of bars sitting around from mining on 4 chars, but it seems awfully expensive. I don't raid. I started boxing for PVP and so that I could actually see PVE content once in a while. Does it make sense to level JC'ing for my group? Will I get pattern drops? are patterns pre-wotlk available to me?

Thanks for reading and I look forward to your insight.

I have a JC on my team, as well as an Alchemist. Not having to hit the AH or find someone to cut your gems is always a plus. Alchemy has transmute cooldowns, you can make your own pots/elixirs/flasks, and the BoP trinkets.

My setup looks similar to yours, but I have only 1 miner and 2 enchanters. The second one is just to DE quest rewards for a little extra mats, I didn't level it to max.

Also may be worth noting that you don't need your main to be a skinner, you can just macro it. In my assist macro I have "/cast [dead] Skinning". So I just target the corpse with my main, hit the macro, and my skinner skins the corpse. This lets you put mining/herbalism on the same character, and you can use a castsequence for tracking to toggle between the two all the time. More of a personal preference, as I don't notice nodes on my follower's maps very often.
