I am 5 boxing right now and about to hit 77. Anyone else hit 80 yet 5 boxing? If so what was play time? So far i am at 10 days for 1-77 but alot of those hours were spent time pvping and AH etc.

I was doing so well, nearly 77. Then I realised how much I wanted a Dk.
There is a 4 Shaman boxer on my realm at 80, but he's pretty hardcore, whereas I am a 3 nights a week kind of gal :)

In fairness though, /salute to those folks who are 80 in a five man team already. Amazing.

Heh lfalna, same thing happened to me. Got my 5 shamans about 3/4 to 71 in the first day, then right before I went to bed I decided to try a DK - loved it so much I decided to replace my main shaman with it and didn't go back to northrend again until my DK was 70. Now my shamans are 71.5 and DK is 70.66 and I'm trying to fly to 80.

My 4 shamans are 79/78x3. One being 79 because she is my main and I take her into instances more than the other 3.

I just hit 74 last night. I play a lot, BUT I have this uncontrollable desire to max out trade skills, farm mats..do EVERY collection quest, get all the flight paths, make stuff to sell on AH.....ARGGGG! If only I could FOCUS!!

Ok so I do not mind, I like smelling the roses. And I will be 80 soon enough. Also I have made myself tons of armor upgrades and all my trades are almost maxed. When I hit 80 I can concentrate on heroics/PvP and alts.

Just curious to all those who are already level 80. What was your main method of leveling? I've been questing using the free guides off of wow-pro.com and I'm only 75.5 atm, of course I was only lvl 66 on release night with some of my shamans, but still I hit 70 with everything on my current team by last saturday. It just feels like it's taking SOO long to quest. Something like 10 hours a level. SOO many collection quests its unbelievable. :(

I ding'd level 69 today on all my Shamans. But I've got 32 of them. It takes on average about 4 to 5 days per level up to 70. I've backed out of doing quests in Wrath of the Lich King areas because I ran out of non-collecting quests. Once I get to level 70, I'll be back there. It's taking a long time to level to 70 and it will be even longer afterwards. I figure maybe a level a week for me. I should hit level 80 by about the start of February 2009.

the collection quests are kind of a bitch in northrend, i never had to do any collection quests all through azeroth and outland! i wish more of them were group-lootable, i.e. if the mob drops a quest item, everyone in the group can loot one. the first couple levels in northrend sucked because i went at 68, so i ran out of non-collection quests pretty quick. i'm 74 now and it's a lot easier, i've been taking my time to enjoy the scenery and world pvp :D i've completely explored every zone i've quested through so far in northrend, though i doubt i'll go back and explore azeroth and outland :P would be cool to have The Explorer title on all 5 toons though ^^

Think I'm going to just grind instances for most of my XP. I hate collection quests!!

I leveled mainly with questing. Did everything in Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, Dragonblight, I then did half the quests in Grizzly Hills, then moved to Scholazar Basin.

The Basin rocks, seriously.

After that I was close to 79 and quested in Storm Peaks (mainly the rescue goblin -> Transform into blue girl questline -> work for the elementals quests.)

Should hit 78 tonight on my main team. I took 7 days off from work starting on release day. All my collection profs are maxed (a full day in the Scho Basin made that happen) , most of my crafters are doing well. Back to work last week so my play time is a lot less. Spent 77 in Storm Peaks, man epic flyers would be nice.

Built 4 DKs to 60 with one still at 58. Played half a level on a alt team just to take a break and get out of Northrend collection hell for a bit. I figured out I skipped some key quest chains (hitting a collection quest in the middle of a chain makes me die a little bit each time) after I left some zones. I will be going back to Grizzly Hills and the Basin tonight to see if the "wave" has cleared those zones and I can complete the chains.

I expect to hit 80 on my main team before the end of this comming weekend. I will play around with some of the end game instances and then back to my alts.

So far Gundrak seems to be the most boxer friendly for me. AN was painful, but I got it. Old Kingdom and UK are not too bad. The K3 daily with the land mines is great boxed! Just dump the land mine on your action bar and deploy 5 at once... no stragglers from that.
