first boss in UK

How do you kill him? I am having a heck of a time with him.

The grounding totems don't function correctly and my dps is just not cutting it with his epic shadow bolts.

I had an awful time till i learned the tricks. Heres what I do.

Go around left side of table and stay out of agro range.
Drop totems
When he walks back from the opposite side of the room, jump him with the pally and move ur shamans close to where u are tanking.
Consecrate when the skele's come to keep em on the pally.
If one of the shaman get frost tomb i simply TS or the exploding aoe fire totem and its gone. Chain heal up as necessary.
If the tank gets frost tomb, just switch targets and LB it once and its gone.


UK and some of the other dungeons have become about learning the gimmicks to the fight to beat the Boss, while a great deal of BC bosses (5mans) were simply tank and splank. I sreamed at my pc several times on all three bosses in that place. As soon as I learned what was going wrong they started dropping. Now its every time.

Actually a large ratio of the bosses in BC had all sorts of Gimmicks as well that had to be overcome. The difference is if you started multiboxing in the last year or so, all those gimmicks were already known and "solutions" were already figured out. Now we're having to come up with solutions to the new gimmicks.

For instance, the 2nd and 3rd boss of UK is really just tank and spank - especially the second boss.

The fact that the third boss does weird attacks doesn't make him a gimmick boss with a strategy that has to be figured out by the multiboxing community, its something that was figured out by the "general" wow community and the solution was posted (running through the boss for smash, stop casting during roar - these aren't multibox specific problems, they're just things to watch out for while tanking/spanking the boss) :)

Anyway I suppose my post was pointless, just wanted to say that BC had gimmicks as well and not everything in WotLK is gimmicky, there still are and will be plenty of simple tank and spanks I'm sure :)

Think somewhere in the PVE - instances/Tactics thread posted about UK strats but anyhow i've spent like one whole day trying out as well. i found using "/target frost tomb /cast Earthshock" much easier, also gather the group near the pally so he cld just pick up the skellies immediately. I have issues with the last boss, even tho his slam was frontal cone i get one shotted most of the time in phase two.
