hi yin and welcome to dual-boxing

to answer your questions:

1. more computers is always better. it all depends on your funds.
if you want to run 5 accounts, possibly the best solution with the minimal cost would be 3 computers. 2 wows on the left, your main in the middle, and 2 on the right. you can use cheaper equipment and get a better game experience (due to bigger screens). 3 screens total

2. i'd recommend playing all the same character at first. this will introduce you to the general problems of coordinating so many accounts without having to worry about all the cross skills

3. it would depend on the pc. you could get a quad core with 3G of memory and a 512M video card and span across 2 monitors... running 2x2 on one monitor and your main full screen on the other

4. i have run 6 characters on a single monitor for shadowbane. it depends on the game and how much you want to tolerate. all you really need in wow is a couple of good addons and minimize your clones. it'd work, but it's not a slick (i like to be able to glance over and see my characters)

of course.. you will also have to figure out how to coordinate the keys between the characters. current options are (prepare for shameless plug): AHK, alt-tab, or keyclone

i hope this helps.

have a great night

Multibox is Freeware, Keyclone costs $10 US Per Computer you use it on.

Quad core will do great.

Nvidia 8800 GT would be a great - cost effective Graphics Card for you.

keyclone is not free. it costs $10 per computer. to get keyclone, download, install, and run it on the computer you are going to use. when it comes up, press the 'get license' button and you will be taken to a paypal page. pay using paypal and keyclone will be activated once paypal authorizes the payment. (credit cards usually take very little time)

most of todays quality video cards can handle dual monitor output. just tell the people at the store that you are looking for a good graphics card with at least 512M of graphics memory and the ability to have dual output. (i personnally like the nvidia cards)

when you are done, it'd look something like this:

There should be an 8800 which has a higher clock speed & higher DDR4 RAM speed, this'd be the one to go for in my oppinion. I was under the impression that most Computing products would be cheaper in Hong-Kong?
