Hi! i am brand new to Dual-Boxing.com but i am a constant reader and i have some questions that i was wundering if anybody could help answer for me.

1. With RAF you get 1 free level up point for every 2 levels your "friend" gains, you and your friend also gain 3x the normal xp if you are both within 4 levels of eachother. ok so on to my question. you supposedly gain 1 "level up point" for every 2 levels your friend gains, so say account A is linked to account B, account a is getting the level up points. in theory you could just creat new characters on account B and level them to level 2 and account A would gain 1 level up point. if you were to delete the character you got to lvl 2 would you keep that 1 free level up point? or would it disapear if that character got deleted.

on a side note do you have to acualy level up 2 levels or does starting at level 1 and just leveling to level 2 count as gaining 2 levels?

2. ok so i eventualy plan on setting up a 5 boxing team and was wundering how i should link them through RAF. i have a couple of ideas nd would just like to know what would be the best option.

Option 1:

A-->B

A-->c

A-->D

A-->E

ok so i see many problems with this setup but it is just 1 basic idea, i was thinking this would be more for just level dumping on to A. but that is not particuarly what i want.

Option 2:

A-->B

B-->C

C-->D

D-->E

ok now this seems farily streight forward, the only thing is that E does not get the benifit of level up points. this could be problematic but also draws up more questions. so if i was able to level up all characters to lvl 60, i would then have 30 points to spend on all acounts but E. and if i spent these points i would gain more points on the next account and so on. Example: E gives 30 points to D, D has 30 points, after spending this would send a total of 45 points to C. after spending 45 points on C i would have a lvl 46 + 60, in turn giving 53 points to account B. after spending these points on B it would then have a 60 + 54, giving A 57 points total. i am fairly sure my math is correct and i hope this makes sens, but if it is not please correct me. this would end up being verey nice as i would just have to transfer 1 character from A to E and with a little work i would have 2 lvl 60 5 boxing teams, or with a little planning a nice variety of teams. this is the RAF chain i was thinking of going with.

3. ok now i have some questions about racial talents and classes. i am sticking to Ally because that is where most my friends are. ok, now here is what i was thinking for a PvP 5 boxing group.

Group 1: all Night Elves, 1 priest; healer, 4 druids; caster dps. ok this seems like a nice solid group. i personaly love shadowmeld and IMO it is the best racial trait for Ally. all 5 classes can rez so for leveling that is nice. all can heal if they have to if priest dies. a simple respec and this could also be a decent PvE team too. don't see many downsides with this group.

Group 2: All Humans, 1 priest; healer, 4 mages; casting dps. this is from what i have read a nice PvP group. Everyman for himself is a nice racial trait to remove stuns, fears and movement imparing effects, but i could also get a crinket to do the exact same with the same CD. mages do some nice dps but can't heal, this could be problematic if my priest dies. some problems with this group but seems nice and solid.

Group 3: All Draenei, 1 priest; healer, 4 shamans; casting dps. i do not particularly like the Draenei racial trait, it doesn't heal much and has a longer then most CD. but this is the only Ally class that has shamans so its a win lose. like the first group all can heal all can rez, but shammys would not be as easily PvE compatable for a tank as druids but that doesn't really matter because i will be PvPing. another nice group but has some small downsides.

these are my 3 PvP group choices and i personaly like the first group, but i would like to hear everybodys input on the groups as well. also open to other group options that would be set strictly for PvP.

what ally racial trait would be the best for PvP? i know it mostly depends on your group but i would still like to hear opinions on what you guys think is the best.

ok i think that is all my questions for now, any help on these would be great. Thanks everybody!!! :thumbsup:

1.
The parent account receives 1 free level up, granted from the newer referred account per 2 levels gained by the newer account. So new account gets to level 3, they can grant a level. At level 5 they can grant another level. The limit is that they cannot grant to a level higher then they are at, nor can they grant a level to a toon that is 60th. So if you were to level 10 toons to 3rd each, then you could grant 10 levels to 1st or 2nd level toons, but not 3rd level toons on the parent account.

2.
If you have an existing toon on a given server, you might not want that account linked at all to the others. For example say you have a 70 on account A. Then you might want to link B-->D and C-->E, so you can use A to boost with. If A is not linked then it does not need to be within 4 levels of B/D or C/E for those accounts to get bonus levels.

If on the other hand, you want to level 5 toons on a team, from level 1 upwards... then you would like all 5 accounts to be linked. If you cascade the levels A-->B-->C-->D-->E... then every account other then the last one will receive bonus granted levels. And all of the accounts will receive the triple experience on kills and quest turn-ins.

Also note.. if E granted 29 levels to a level 1 on D, giving D a level 30, D would have gained 29 levels, which is 14 granted levels more then was earnt playing characters. As in granted levels currently count as levels earnt.

For the shaman/druid groups, I wouldn't include a healer specific class. As in, for those groups go with 5x shaman and 5x druid, because it's a lot easier to multi-box one class then two -and- 5x shaman or 5x druids give your team exceptional healing power anyway. If necessary, you could respec one of the five to a restoration focus and be able to box a lot more efficiently then 1x priest plus 4x another class. In the druids case, you'd only need one of the five in moonkin form, with the other four able to heal. For the shaman's, 5x healing stream totem is a lot of healing for just about any non-elite mob, or 5x mana spring totem is an endless amount of mana in most situations. Shaman are amazing in pvp, and staggered tremor totem drops, are powerful against our worst enemy -- fear bombs.

I'd consider a Prot Paladin, with 4x Shaman for instances, as a lot of people have success with that composition. Any tank is good for AoE threat now, but the paladin is the most boxing friendly, requiring the least amount of attention. For pvp, the paladin or druid tank can respec to be a healer, which provides something of use; melee are generally not worth the effort in pvp while boxing due to follow breaking while meleeing.

The priest x1 / mage x4 group has been done with success before. Not sure if it was for a pve or pvp focus, but the team has good synergy between classes. I haven't tried it, so cannot comment much on that composition.

As far as racials in pvp... Gnome Escape Artist is very strong, Human's effectively have permanent Perception now and an extra Trinket as they have a click trinket effect which shares a cooldown with the pvp trinket. Draenei racial is a HoT which is something extra, but not so much in pvp; more a downtime reducer for leveling up. Dwarf stoneform is good, but they cannot be mages/druids/shaman's which are the classes you're looking at. Shadowmeld is surprise attacks which can be deadly, but night elves are not shamans or mages, and they can already stealth very effectively as druid cats.

I'd vote Shaman x5 as the best BG team for pvp, or Shaman x4 + Paladin x1 for PvE and Shaman x4 + Healer x1 (not played by you) for Arena... as the best pvp options. Druids have stealth and surprise and can destroy someone before they know you're there plus 5x Rejuvenation/Regrowth/Lifebloom is a ton of survivability. I'd give the edge to shaman's in pvp. Mages have a lot of burst, but they won't have the element of surprise or a lot of defense to being fear bombed.

thanks a ton for validating that, also kind of threw off alot of my plans but oh well 'll figure something out, i have 3+ months before i can aford a new comp anyway so i have plenty of time to think it over. i currently have a 70 ret pally on my main account, as i level to 80 i will be gearing up to go prot though. still need to do a little more reserch on what class i want, shammys are starting to sound like the best bet right now but i might change my mind later. 90 days of 3x xp is a long time so hopefulls i can level up multiple goups to 60 so i can test out different goups. thanks again ^_^ seems like hord is the best choice for class/racial trait combos lol
