the antec 300 case is an amazing little case (bargain too)
but don't forget to clean the air filter every so often
it's so efficient in stopping dust it will actually clog up and cut your air-intake!

Why do some people go 1 computer for each wow client? my little laptop runs 4 easy with the fps capped at 25 or so, or do you need each wow runnin at 60fps+ or something?

I used to 5 box on just my main machine fine however it would run at around 40fps average and its nothing special hardware wise, unless your planning on more than 5 boxing maybe I dunno?

I had the Saitek keyboard a couple of years ago, I still like how they look and the action on the keys is really good, however every Saitek I've encountered has died. I don't know if they're cursed or I am, but I have as much luck with Saitek keyboards as I do with Maxtor hard drives, which is to say absolutely zero. I bought one of the new G15 keyboards a while back and I absolutely love it. In all, I like your setup. I would worry about kicking the cases if it was me. I wonder, what monitor stands are you using? I've been looking for a good one to support my new setup (a pair of 22 wides between a pair of 19s sideways.)

I know it's overkill on the wow, but as Suvega says, "For hardware for a 5-box setup, I'm a firm believer in 5 computers. Why 5 machines over 1? Performance, latency, reaction time, and Flexability." And since WAR is out, I can multibox WAR no problem. :)

I hope the Saitek board lasts longer than you've stated, or else I would be one sad mofo. I forgot to mention that the stands I'm using are Ergotron's DS100 33-091-200.

Don't see how you do that with so little leg room. :P

Well, if leg space is ever a problem, simple solution, pull the table out. However I sit awkwardly in my chair most of the time... So no bother :P

I was going to say how do you deal with the heat at your feet but I see you are in Minot you just need to crack a window.

I stayed at that Sleep Inn one winter for a week in Minot they had one heck of a water park for a Motel.

Why do some people go 1 computer for each wow client? my little laptop runs 4 easy with the fps capped at 25 or so, or do you need each wow runnin at 60fps+ or something?

1) Hardware set-ups will work for new games without fuss. Some software setups are simply keypress-multiplexers, but that doesn't mean the game in question will accomodate software like WoW does. Hardware is reliably cross-platform with no changes.
2) Performance. You cap the FPS. We don't. Your laptop loses power or internet? Our other PCs keep on chugging and we still have a chance of 4-manning whatever we're in combat with. You lag and lose /follow in high-population areas like Shattrath and Dalaran or on epic flyers? We don't. Your bottleneck is your PC -- our bottleneck is our internet connection (and WoW doesn't use much).
3) Upgrades. Let's say WoW updates its graphics like the shadows and such. Will your computer work in 1 more expansion? 2? 3? Each computer is capable of handling a heavier load -- therefore, chances are, we won't have to upgrade it as often (or if we do, we don't have to upgrade to top-of-the-line parts -- yesterday's gcards still give us great FPS since we don't hammer it with 5 windows to process at once).
4) Window space. I've got a 2x3 array of 19" widescreen monitors (5 for WoW windows, 1 for intarweb browsing/wowhead/leveling guides/email). I've got the same resolutions, so I can use a multiplexed mouse for targeting AoEs if I need to, and I can actually read the text on all of my screens.

Just some food for thought. Nothing wrong with Software -- nothing wrong with hardware either. Each have their benefits. We don't get PiP, but we get alot more room to oogle at things so we don't really need it. We don't get a reliable round-robin, but we don't have to worry about ever getting banned (even an accidental false-positive) for running software. It's a trade-off.

Everyone has the same response in Minot when you say. "How can you deal with this cold."

"The cold keeps the riff raff out" I think they learn that in Elementary School or something.

I lived in Bismarck for 7 years, went to Minot several times. Have no idea how anyone lives there without blowing their brains out (Bismarck or Minot, shit...any part of ND).

All good, just thought you may have gone to school with either of them, since theres really only 2 highschools, had a 50/50 chance. And since the graduating class is so low, it wouldnt be hard to recognize the name. Did you hear of the highschool kids that robbed a gas station multiple times, and they wore there high school's sweatshirts? i know those kids went to the highschool my cousins did.

So, right now my current one is on it's side cock-eyed so I don't end up smashing it each time I turn in my chair LOL.
