I've gone through it twice on my team now. The first time he went down on the first try. The second time I wiped over and over, got sick of it and gave up.

How are you handling the final boss? It seems like the trash time (when the boss is hidden) keep killing me with those darn spikes that shoot out of the ground...

I reran that instance last night to retry it. Watch the ground closely for the dust animation and move out the way when you see it. The spikes don't have a huge radius, so it's pretty easy to get out of the way. An alternative method is to keep running around and use stoneclaw/nova totems for the adds.

The spikes first blow you up in the air, then you take a good chunk of damage on every toon it threw up.

It's a really annoying fight...

I wiped 3-4 when I first when it at 71, decided to skip him for a while. I went back in at 74 and 1 shotted him. Did do one thing different - spread out my guys near the entrance (go in, and then spread out a bit in a semi circle). I think he may have some frontal cleave-type damage but no back/aoe damage, so I tanked him close to everyone else.

When adds came my pally would consecrate and my guys would dps/heal themselves/chain heal. It is pretty mana intensive, I lost my mage near the end to the spikes. I was terrible at moving out of spikes, by the time I notice the sand it would hit. So spreading ppl out helped a lot here. This is gonna suck in heroic I think :(

Oh, I also bloodlusted very early and blew all my fire elementals early too, I wanted to get him low quickly rather than go through a bunch of phases.

1xPali,4xSham - Level 73

Killed him a few times tonight. I just left all 4 of the shams clustered with totems just inside the circle. Tank went up and smacked him. lb lb lb lb...brought the pali back to the shamans when he went underground. Consecrate. Kill adds. Chain heal on the shams anytime they got spiked. Rinse and repeat. Probably would have been even easier if I'd spread out the shams, used heroism or fire elementals but I'm far too lazy :)

The important thing is to kill the adds fast when he submerges. The longer they are up, the longer the spikes happen.

Just wait till Heroics :) The spike pretty much kills you if you get hit. Does about 10k+ damage initially plus fall damage.

To avoid fall dmg just position your guys underneath the overhang around the edge at the corners... put maybe 2 guys in each spot to reduce everybody getting hit at once with the spike.

Took a few attempts but I just got the pacing down enough to move my team, via follow prior to the spike. One thing I did with my mixed class team, was recover while the boss is up. Heals, mana gems or invoc, fiend... the boss up phases are cake compared to boss down phases so I try to stretch out the boss up phase. I found that the other instance, kingdom, in AN was a lot easier until that last fight where my mages were toast. I had to finish the last boss off with the tank, priest, and shaman.

I have tried this instance 5 times now and the SECOND boss keeps blocking me... my paladin is 78 now and shaman 76. Everytime I go in the 2nd boss bugs out and will not stop the adds coming in (or hell he doesnt even come up top!) I gave up on this POS instance. I tried fighting my way to him one time and got overwhelmed by like 20 adds. Good thing there is nothing of consequence in this instance.
