I have a very old account , that my son (aged 11) set up and he inserted rubbish account details (Mainly because I had told him never to give his real details on the internet!!!).......I have been paying for this account since day 1, however we do not have the CD number for the account.
Does anyone have any experience regarding how reasonable blizz are concerning changing these details? If I send passport photocopies/bills and credit card details what are the odds they will sort this out?
I guess I will try... Hope it doesn't cause them to ban the account, but if any of you have any experiences it would be good to know.
Thanks in advance,

If the account has been payed with said creditcard, you're ok and not in trouble; just give them a call, they'll ask you to mail a copy of your credit card bill, you mail it, they fix it, done.
If you only payed using pre-paid cards it's a different story. You might wanna call them but they will need the secret question AND answer. If you don't know these ... You can't prove your the owner....
So I hope you did at least pay once with the creditcard ;)
Mind you, Blizzard is ver nice and polite, or atleast they can be, so just give them a call and explain the situation.... Good luck!

If it is a legit reason they are very good with working for you. The billing folks also won't just ban your account. I pay for a total of 7 account 4 me 2 kids 1 wife. My last name can be spelled with or without a space - like McLovin vs Mc Lovin. On one account I spelled it differently and had issues when I went to transfer some toons around. I called billing and they sorted it out easily over the phone. I also set up my wife's account, in my name. Big nono I messed up. On the same phone call I asked if I could switch the first name on the account from mine to hers and they would not, since it is outside of the rules. I asked the rep if asking the question would get the account banned and he replied "what question". So if you are not obviously full of it they are pretty good with working with you.
yeah i had to change over details and the way the guy on the phone said was, goto the blizzard support site and post a webform with all the details they ask for an a copy of passport/driver license. wait for about an hour or so after posting webform and phone them up and ask them to process it now. Worked for me and was back in action within about 2hrs of problem arrising.
