addedNew ram = FPS issue??

So I recently added more ram to both of my machines. They are not the greatest, but they both sit at 3 gigs of ram. I run my main character on the older computer, and 4 others on my newer one. The new computer use to lag out whenever taking 4 of my toons through org or shatt, but ever since I put in the ram, it's been running alot better, with no freezes or anything. Noticed the improvement right away. Just one thing I have seen happen on both machines actually since I added more ram... I've noticed a decrease in my FPS, when I play WoW. I've been playing Left 4 Dead, and it's running fine. But whenever I run wow it seems that both machines have to be put onto minimum settings. My video cards are not the best, but before I added more ram, I never had such terrible FPS issues.



Any suggestions?

did you add the ram before or after the current patches?
as I have noticed a substantial drop in FPS on my 4 slaves FPS since the patches (i had no internet for 2 weeks prior to the Wrath release) - before the patch I was running 40-50 per instance, now im down to 29

What operating system do you run? And what kind of RAM do you have in the system now total? If you right click on my Computer and hit properties, what does it say under Computer for "X GB of RAM"?

PCs can be very finicky about memory, for example DDR2 RAM wants to be matched up 2 at a time, and putting in slower new RAM can cause your old RAM to drop down in timings. Theres a whole bunch of number settings like CAS/RAS that effect the timings, I went from 4-4-4-7 to 5-5-5-something when I moved from 2GB to 4GB because my newer sticks were slower than my older ones. But I run XP so it only sees 3GB of memory anyways :(

On a side note, Left 4 Dead is an incredible game. Especially if you're blazed. Buy it.
