The title says it all, this summer i am intrested in designing custom cases with the my trusty dremel, ive done work on cases before and its starting to be my number 2 passion behind multiboxing.
But do you guys (i come to dual-boxing.com for everything :D) think that there is much of a market online of people willing to pay for me to custom make a case for them with led's added in. I love moding cases but its to expensive unless you sell them off.
I have learned how to do wonders with cable management,
LED's
Dremel work etc,
140mm fans in a 120mm area, s
sweet perpis, like 7in touch screen that displays all your comp info and fan settings.

There's a market for everything. The trick is getting their attention, which is not something I know about.

Forge a case that can cool 2 stock cooled 8800's and a 6400+ and hold 3 hard drives + extended psu, I'll pay you ;P, you could cut out Wrath of the Lich King title and then put a blue light behind it to simulate the frost like that one farcry case

Two words. Voodoo Omen. If you can craft a case like that, with the option to fill it with whatever hardware they want, people (ie. me :P ) will definitely buy it :D

If I could afford the stuff to go in the case, I might consider it. :P

Wow, you know i googled that voodoo, i didnt think it was impressive, i mean... its gold, i guess, ill just to a little spray can art and bam 24000 if its that easy okay!
But i love the positive feed back, im going to start making ideas for a few of my cases that i will take pictures up when i take them.
I am always intrested in doing mods.
A little pregame thinking though, i think i actually buy the case, mod it with nothing else included except led's and whom ever wants them just installs their parts and done deal.
I would have to look at the best shipping though, usps, dhl, fedex, i dunno. And what type of payment to accept too, never used paypal but i hear people can get ripped off real easily. I need more ideas for that sort of thing.
And even still, how much do i charge, thats a really tough question.
And lastly, im always up for suggestions, i got so many good ideas floating around up there, like frozen acrlyic cases, (think 100% see through, blue and purple led's water cooler (blue neon liquids) and the frosty snow effect.) :D
If anyone gots comments to what i said above please feel free, im kinda clueless about the "buiness" aspect of it.

Also, heh just figured id pop this in too, im also capable of moding xbox 360's. Really easy!
Of course, if all in all goes through members of dual-boxing would certainly be first to get discounts for sure.

Nah not the gold one. They have a new Omen coming out with a completely custom built case, built in copper water cooling pipes etc.
Link to voodoo's gallery of the omen is here ('http://www.voodoopc.com/#/productsomen')
And even still, how much do i charge, thats a really tough question.
Price is really up to you and what your looking to make out of it.
A good start though is to charge your materials + labour. So if it cost you 200 for a case and another 150 for the materials. Takes you around 3-5 hours at 30-40 an hour then youve got your starting price really.
If the end product turns out looking professional and overly cool then people are really willing to pay the end price. 500 for a completely custom case that can cool an over the top 8800 quadcore beast is really not that much when you think about the price of the parts inside. Also remember that for now your making one of a kind status symbols things if they turn out good enough.
