I have 2 copies of keyclone, one on my desktop (Master) and one my my laptop (Slave). Master connects online via dsl, Slave connects via wireless cable.
Now typing this i realize the problem may be that both computers must be on the same network? Is this the case...
If not, im unable to connect via keyclones. It tries to connect, then maybe 15 seconds d/c's

Make sure you have the port forwarded via router (default is 1320) on your SLAVE system and you should still be able to connect, you would just connect to the slave's IP from the ISP.
Edit: This is my Monday so reading comprehension ftl.
Here is a Screenshot showing the connection (No wow's running so you don't see the WoW instance but just the network connection)
Windows Remote desktop from my Work machine to my Home machine (on different networks)

tried this with no luck. one thing that may be an issue is my main (master) is a hardline connection (dsl) and my laptop is connecting wireless. i do not have access to th3e router itself, is there a way around this? Master (xp) Slave (vista).
i even tried turning off the firewall completely with no luck, no sign of connection on the slave or master when connecting via the other.

What are the IP addresses of these two systems? Are they on the same subnet? Can you ping between these systems? The default local port is 1320. Can you open a telnet connection to that port from each system?

Are you leeching off of someone elses wireless network? I guess I don't understand why you don't have access to the router. If so just go pick up a wireless N router. I got this one and it works great Netgear WNDR3300.
