Like Blizzard held back a LOT from beta, or, the expansion seems...half-done?

I'm NOT complaining. I'm liking it so far, it's a blast, and I like the slower leveling curve. I also am getting into the stories, and it's well done.

BUT

Where are the rep rewards? BC was all about Rep rewards! There's some, but very little compared to BC.

Where are the professions? They're wierd right now. I know they said they were'nt doing the BOP epics anymore, but it seems like it's more about engineering right now.

Herbs are rare so far. Leather is easy, cloth is harder to find. Are there new health pots? Mana pots?

What do the dailies look like at 80?

I'm just curious. I havent read that deeply into the post 80 game, and I know there's more new content coming to progress to Arthas, but I dunno. Something feels missing in it all. Something to work towards? Maybe?

I know a lot of the cool post 70 stuff happened in BC about half-way through - Ogrila, Netherwing, Skyguard, and new recipes and such, and then, of course, the Isle. Dare we hope for something like that this time, around June/July? Or, is Blizzard *really* working hard on an expansion every year, and there's not as much cool stuff this time, because of that?

I dunno. Something just feels "off". Maybe it's the complete lack of "Holy shit!" in chat, that BC had for weeks, as people discovered new content and drops. I was running around the Mechagnome zone last night, I LOVE this storyline, but any comments about it were met with insults and the usual idiots. I've taken to turning chat off now, because nobody helps anyone anymore, and it's just epeen fights and insults and people making [anal] jokes. Is that's whats missing? The community? Someone asked where the trainers were in the hold, and when I responded, I got insults to "not help the effing newbs" and "L2Google" and endless abuse. It's getting ridiculous. I'm spending more time watching for other players, because of the problems they cause, stealing mobs, nodes, or dragging 20 mobs with them - often on purpose, so they can go "hur hur hur" in guild chat. Gah! Why did I come back to this idiocy?

I swear, if they offer free transfers off of my server, I'm *gone*. I'd rather level in a wasteland than deal with these idiots.

Anyway, this was more about what's to come. What do you think? Do you think Blizzard has a bunch more up their sleeves, or did they cut back this time to shorten the development time, and we'll be going through all this again a year from now?

I may have missed this, but are you 80 yet?

I haven't even set foot in the new content yet other than the DK zone.

Since the game has been out so long, pretty much anyone could make a DK...that means all the 6-16 year olds are going to be in there too.
It should get better once they get out of those zones.

I'm sure there will be more patches to come to flesh out the content we have now.

I thought each faction had a normal reputation vendor like in BC.

Im gonna go out on a limb & respectfully disagree with you. I think blizzard put an amazing amount of work into this expansion, & I love it. I was talking with some friends in vent
& discussing the differences between the TBC launch & this one, this feels more polished IMO. I guess it's a subjective thing, but I love the artwork & the backstory, & generally am satisfied with most of what I see.

So many new mechanics added to the game. The seige vehicle thing alone was worth the price of admission. The Quest line where we took back undercity with Thrall was one of the most amazing things Ive seen.

IMO the game is about more than just the loots you get.

I'm just...I don't know. It feels like some aspects of the expansion so far are shallow compared to BC, unfinished maybe? The other parts are the usual Blizzard sparkly polish - the terrain and buildings are amazing, and I'm into the storylines big time. Maybe that's what they wanted, maybe the Devs felt BC was too complicated?

The one point I agree with you on is professions. I think that a lot of people just haven't explored them out yet and we haven't fully seen what is out there. The one thing I have noticed is the lack of cookie recipes. In BC there are tons of cooking recipes found on innkeepers / vendors in the different zones. I've hit BT, GH, ZD, SB and so far haven't found any cooking recipes (or any other prof recipe) on vendors. I have seen the quartermasters with profession recipes though. I've also gotten a few of the cooking BoP drops, but I seem to be behind on those from my guildies who seem to have better luck.

There is rep vendors for every faction, they made it a lot cleaner now. You wear a tabard from that specific faction when doing any lvl 80 dungeon and it gives you rep. So your no longer forced to run a crappy instance over and over that you hate, you can switch it up.

There is a bazillion dailies, once you do each zone you'll find dailies popping up from either quests you've done or new daily quests.

I'm just going to shrug off this feeling i have - it's not a bad feeling, I can't put my finger on it, but it's lessening the more I get into the game. I ran the quests on the strand in the south of BT, and they were fun, and then leveled my DK to 56 - and had a blast with that.

I'm just going to play, take my time, and have fun. I was thinking about it this morning, I started BC out with an intact guild, and the pressure to level, get rep, get attuned, get the mounts...blah blah blah...thats what I might be "missing". I'm on my own schedule with Wrath, so maybe I just feel a little discombobulated since I don't have guildies pushing me to level so I can run 5 mans with them? :)
