Okay, so I'm currently sitting in the queue for Dragonmaw starting at 800+ with a 30min estimated time. I fully expected it would be this bad, and that this may well continue peak time anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months. Usually I play off peak so this is not an issue, but I see they are offering free transfers from D'maw to Dentarg and was wondering what experiences others had had with moving over to new and low population realms?

I see there could be an advantage to having experience and geared characters, as well as possibly being able to supply multi-chars to some raids and guilds because of underpopulation issues. Alternatively, there are some quite active guilds on D'maw which I am parts of, and the current queues will not be a bother for a significant amount of time.

Are there other aspects I am missing? Would be great to hear from anyone with new realm experience.

Fed up with the long lines. I have been on Silvermoon since launch .. it was a hard decision but a two hour wait to log in to the game is not acceptable. Hopefully the economy on the new server will stabilize soon.

I notice that Magtheridon also have free transfers to Dentarg as well, and that some are considering. Maybe those who are can let us all know, and it could become a viable new realm with a high multiboxer population?

Hyjal has had 1k+ ques last few days at peak. I am discussing going to Fizcrank as well. There are three of us 5boxers ( out of 6 in the guild) that are considering the move. I will see what the new guys think once they log on.

Fizzcrank so far has been smooth and very easy for both instancing and questing in 'da Fjord.

See y'all there. I play Sojólly there as my main (ó=alt-162).

it was hard choice to leave Hyjal for Galakrond but it's awsome....
since it's only a day or two old there are no queues to logon and when you get to northend you don't have to fight over every NCP to complete a quest.

I was just on the realm a few minutes ago. I logged out for a few minutes and now I am in queue now and have been in it for some time. Any info on how long this is going to go on?

1024 of 1024 here, nice round programmery number.

I keep thinking I'd like to wait out the queues and stay on Lightbringer, a server that is both cheerful about multiboxing and never on the list of servers Bliz has to take down for emergency fixes ... but man, this blows. Lately I've been most able to log on for just an hour or so, to take a break between work sessions. Can't do that with a 40-minute queue though, so I end up not playing at all. I'm also stuck, in that my new RAF accounts are linked to my healer. If I transferred my main team to another server, I'd have to bring him, and I presume that would pbreak the RAF links. That reminds me, what if these impossible queues continue on and I'm not able to max my RAF levels before they expire? This was a pretty expensive couple months for WoW, shelling out for both four RAFs and five WotLK upgrades. I'm feeling a few twinges of regret, I must admit.

I don't think I will ever go back to solo boxing.

As far as the queues I have seen them one time on my server and now they are gone. I would think server pops will eventually get back down to what it was after people get bored.

Are you alliance or horde??? What are your names there? I got tired of the long queues on both my alliance (Medivh) and horde (Dragonblight), so I decided the easiest thing to do was to transfer my two alliance DKs for free.

Mine are blkñìte and blkñíte ... You might have to cut and paste the names to your friends list in game, since they have those funky ascii characters in them...

Making a rash decision about transferring your characters from a high pop server to some no name server because you have a 2 hour queue a few days after the release of a major expansion is just silly.

Ok so you have to wait awhile to play right now - what happens when in a month your old server is back to normal but your new server has no economy, no players, etc. Now you have to pay to transfer back. If you want to transfer because you don't like your server anyway thats always fine but doing it because of queues days after a HUGE release is just silly.

Oh, I'm already right there with ya. :) I've been 5-manning instances from RFC to MgT. The trouble here is that my playtime is cut short when queue time shortens everything even further. I wish I'd waited on the RAFs and WotLK upgrades, is the thing.

I believe that the RAF accounts are the things that are linked, not the characters. As long as the characters do not move from one account to another, there should be no issues with server transfers braeking RAF links.

I've rolled a completely new RAF team on another server and did not have any issues.

You won't lose the links, but you will lose any ungranted levels. I found this out the hard way when i moved my level 45 shaman and then at 60 could only grant 7 levels from each.

i understand it happening, but seriously...ive never, EVER had to sit in line behind 900+ other people...they should do the mean thing and force moves for people and those that really want to be on a certain realm just fork up the money and transfer back. i realize this isnt the best way, and shouldnt/wont happen...just a thought that popped into my head from the anger i experience when trying to login.

I thought about leaving Earthen Ring myself. It is not as bad as Lightbringer but I think I will give it a bit more time. I am most worried about the new economy not being mature enough.

One thing that is not making me happy is my 5th toon keeps getting disconnected during Queue. For the last 30 minutes my team has been waiting for him to log on. Not sure why it is happening there are two other accounts on that same PC.
