So close, but still need a little help... please

OK, so here's the deal... I have 2 machines and 2 accounts (desktop with xp and laptop with vista). I downloaded Synergy and have it set up for the most part. Here is the problem; when I move my mouse from the desktop to my laptop, my mouse pointer moves to the laptop. Once its there, its stuck on that machine, I can't get back to the desktop. I might be missing something real obvious, but I just dont know how to fix it. any help would be great.

I have exact same setup (vista laptop + xp desktop) and same problem. In the end I just use 2 mice and let octopus broadcast my keystrokes.

1. Mouse is cheap these days, heck you often get one for free when buying desktops.
2. You only use one for your main mostly. For your slave(s), you don't really need them in combat, so you only need to use mouse when turning in quests, selling stuff, trading between your toons, etc.

I have my master on my desktop (which has better graphics card), so I only use 1 mouse. The laptop can use its touchpad fine. As I said, I use it maybe once every 15 minutes whenever I'm in a town.

What the OP is describing is a common error made by new users of Synergy.
