Sam I Am Ding 71 yesterday afternoon. I'd be curious to see where the other 70-80 5 boxers are locking in at.

Hit 71 last night. 14% in if I remember correctly. I've run the first instance twice and I'm doing every quest I can, even the boxer unfriendly ones. From what I've read, the quest achievements are pretty tight per zone so I'd rather do them now while leveling instead of coming back.

My plan was to dungeon/rep grind like I did for TBC but I was not aware the dungeons don't give rep till the later levels, like 78-80. This is disregarding championing obviously, but even that requires questing to get the appropriate rep to get the tabard, which only works for four factions anyways.

Hit 71 last nite on my pally+mage+shamans, did 4-5 runs of UK and then just did questing in Howling Fjord. I was getting a much better xp/hour from instance running than questing, so I think I'll finish up some quests and then just stick to instances - gonna try out Nexus today.

Almost 71, work has been busy so ive only been about to put in about 8-10 hours of wotlk so far. Near the end of my session last night i started running numbers and I find I can get about 165k xp per hour running UK. I'll do just questing for a bit tonight and see what numbers I come up with there. 10 hours a lvl for running instances doesnt sound to bad though.

questing or instance grinding?I've done probably 2/3 questing and 1/3 instance grinding to fill in holes left by skipping 95% of collections quests

Will keep this post as a record of the team's path to 80.

Team is Protection Pally + 4 elemental Shaman which dinged 70 in early October via the RAF.

13NOV08 Sitting at 80% into 70 .. loving the 300+ upgrade in spell power per shammy .. almost single shot on the level 70 mobs. Did mostly questing in the Valiance Keep area (huge lag and lots of competition for the spawns). Will start doing instances as they should be less lag and i will not have to wait for spawns.
14NOV08 Almost 71 but had to go to a dinner engagement. I tried Utgarde Keep before dinner ... DRAGONS!! .. i love killin DRAGONS :^) OMG 1184 in the queue, says a full hour. For those of us with limited time this is a real drag.

Im mostly doing quests ok thats actually all im doing and here is what I have found. It seems to me that although ya it sucks ASS to go and get 60 fucking ears I more then make up for it with my killing power So that being said sure one char can easily collect 15 ears I can kill something in two hits so its actually evens out. I will probably go and do some instances some just to get a feel of them and give that a shot. but seriously the ONLY quest that I have skipped thus far is the one in Coldera for collecting the berries. So its really not that bad IMHO. Ill keep you updated =)

I'm doing straight up questing, should hit 72 here before dinner... 73 tomorrow easily, I'm going for a level a day during this weekend and will see a significant slowdown after that due to work. Probably see a level every 2 days during the week.

Since I started boxing late most of my guys are mid 60s so I started a deathknight instead which I will use at 80 to power the others up.

Dinged 71 sometime sunday morning, logged off at just under 72.

I've been swampped with work so my WOTLK has been reduced to a few hours Sunday night.

I don't plan to hit New Content till I finish grinding out my Exalted Reps with the rest of the factions in BC. Most are Rev+ so I'll just continue to grind Heroics and all of the 5 mans till I finish my Exalted Rep run.

All of the 5-man mobs give around 700-800xp per and drop like hogger. So I'm about 25% into 70 in about 2 hours. Doing fast runs in Labs/tombs/Crypts.

I'm thinking I'll be 74+ maybe higher by the time I finish all of my rep runs, which will make rep runs in north cake.

I kinda gave up for now, the collection quests take to long and want to catch some raiding as soon as possible. So my team is waiting for my priest to get to 70 first.

Shammys are 72, but i parked them for the time being to lvl my pally up to 80 first, so I can start doing naxx with my mains pve guild, CANT WAIT! ;)

My shammies hit 70 yesterday and are now roughly 50% thru 70. I've been taking breaks from lvling tho to help my buddy thru BC instances on his DK since he's gonna be our MT for our 10mans come 80 :D Plus it's fun to go back and actually do instances with my 4 shammies and get the achievements for em :love:

Well, I levelled in the same speed as every other average person - I did not do any quest, but pure instance grinding. I have ran almost 100 (EDIT: checked my statistic, I have 76 final boss kill - 30 of these is Gundrak) end instances and at the moment I am 68 (I haven't played since sunday, not even logged on) - I would have been able to hit 80 monday, if I have had the time :) Even made Realm First! Grand Master Enchanter - neat!

I think it was easy and I am not left with all Northrend quests, which should give me alot of profit :)
