So I'm typing out an article at Starbucks... college kid sitting next to me says, "You play World of Warcraft don't you?"

I told him yes and asked how did he know.

"Your left hand is always on WASD. You never take your hand off those keys."

im gonna assume hes also either an avid player or some form of big fan for his mind to automatically say WoW. almost every (if not all) game's default movement keys are wasd.

still funny nonetheless.

i also blame my increasin typin skill on this game. after i use a keyboard for a few minutes, i can type without lookin. and back before BC came out, i did alot of raiding and got really good at typing with one hand.

and people say video games are bad for you...

do any of you press the pause key while at work some times to turn off broadcasting? I find myself hitting the end key(mute keyclone) sometimes when I can responding to IMs.

I've been playing FPS games with WASD since quake, the original half life, etc, and use them for WoW and every other FPS-ish game I play and my hands only sit over WASD when I need to use them :) Then again I also type 120WPM and have been typing with proper structure since I was 11.

I failed keyboarding in high school, probably one of the few electives that I wanted to pass and could not.
A bunch of years playing Everquest (1) and WoW and I'm able to type very well and quickly.

I painted my keyboard black at 11 to keep my step-mother off my computer. Went a long way to forcing myself to type correctly. :D:D

Mine are only on the Alt-Tab when I'm actually in-game at work, just using a forum isn't considered out of the ordinary for normal business here. There are several distracting looking forums with work related information, like www.remotecentral.com - so all I do on D_B.com is scroll up the title bar a little. ;)

LOL >.< I'm a lil different though; I have my pinky on number 1, miss number 2, ring finger on 3, middle on 4, and index on 5 - thumb on space :D

People also think im a little bit made for having my mouse directly in front of the keyboad (south of the space bar). :)
