I am duel boxing and i want to use follow but is there a way that i can make it if they mage is not casting it will follow and if it isent it wont follow? like
/target dimise
/follow [if casting=false]
so I can run up with my rogue as my mage is casting

Well, it depends on what you are casting. I specced Arcane on my mages and use Arcane Missiles as my primary DPS. When you cast Arcane Missiles, it channels and breaks /follow so they will stand there after casting is complete. You could have other spells done after the initial cast. If you are worried about aggro, then you can downgrade to Rank 1.
Of course you have to reset the follow command once you are done. It started out as a pain but I find it very useful for doing just what you said.
Hope that was useful.

ok if you're channeling a spell then thats different.
/follow [nochanneling:arcane missles]
should work. if it doesnt i'll have to double check it. but should work.

/follow gives you an error if you use it while you're channeling anyway
