New to this, just ordered my XKey Pro and trying to do as much research as I can before it actually gets here. I've got a rogue/priest. I dual box on one machine. I've downloaded Autohotkey, but instead of setting it up so that everytime I press a button for my rogue, my priest does something too, I'd rather set up individual commands on the XKey for each character. I'm wondering if there is some way to have XKey send the commands/macros to the inactive window on my screen without Autohotkey.

Nope. XKeys is just a keyboard, you need a multiplexor to send the keystrokes where you want them. What you are trying to do is achievable in nearly any of them.

If you purchased a USB XKeys pro then I would suggest that Innerspace is the best solution for what you are trying to do. As Innerspace lets you bind directly to the XKeys key without making that key ALSO be another keystroke. For example using KeyClone for my spread out macro to work I had to have the XKeys simulate the ] key. This sent the ] key to each client which was then keybound to a different direction on each character.

The setup I finished last night lets you press XKey15, which in turn sends Q W E and S to each different client similar to how hotstrings work in KeyClone. The advantage? My ] key is now free, and I can type without having to worry about spreading out my toons.

Holy crap. I have a ps/2 and Usb xkeys pro. The usb was unused collecting dust because of the PI software flaws. Now I need to get that bad boy out and go to town.

Once again, thank you Zanthor for showing me another feature of IS I was unaware of. BTW do we use the same keymap layout (key1,2 etc) as was displayed on the PI software?

I just got my X-Key Pro PS/2 pad today and have been fighting with it all night.

My question is that if I set up:

Comp1Keys - F1, F2, F3, F4
Comp2Keys - Shift+F1, Shift+F2, Shift+F3, Shift+F4

Now my problem is that when I hit my kepad that is assigned to Shift+F1 it is also hitting F1.

Very Frustrating. What am I doing wrong here.
