Gold for wotlk?

How much gold are all of you starting wotlk with? Personally I only got about 4,000g because I just bought 9 lv 60 epic mounts (600g each).

About 600g I think. I jsut spent a little over 2000g on two flyers and some other stuff. Now I won't use those flyers for 7 levels, so I'm waiting on buying the other three. As long as I have gold for talents, repairs, and flights that's all I really care about.

If it's anything like BC you will make gold several times faster than before so I should get caught up pretty quick.

in the line of that question (and that wowinsider article) how much gold will mobs/instance bosses drop, or how much will you gain from quests? So is it needed to have a big wallet when you hit WOTLK?

I started yesterday morning with 6k on my druid. I'm not boxing Wrath yet, so just running solo. After hitting 72.2 and doing 116/130 Borean Tundra quests and about 15 Dragonblight quests and turning in 25 level 70 dailes. I logged out with 6,022g last night. This includes all my skill training at 71 and 71 (18g a spell) and training up all the new First Aid, Cooking, Jewelcrafting, and Enchanting receipes I could. All the money was from quests, trash drops, mob cash drops as I DE'd everything else. So far I've only kept 1 quest reward. Had I not DE'd everything I'm sure I'd have much more cash. YMMV

I haven't logged in my 70 group for getting gold in a few months. So right now I'm coasting down toward 0g by leveling other toons with my 70 prot pally. The expansion will just have to wait a few months until I get the urge to grind gear again....

My shaman(70) x5 team has around 600g each.
My hunter(53)/priest(12) teams have enough for spells/skills and 30/60 mounts, if they don't loot anything leveling up.
My mixed PvE team(70) have 200g each, haven't played them in Wrath at all yet.


Auction mule has ~4k gold.
Haven't finished buying epics yet; moving from 2 accounts to 3 and then a week later to 5 and suddenly needing epic flyers really killed the bankroll.

The best thing about xfer that much gold to a new server was the cap. When I did it, the cap was 10k. And a week after I finished moving that much, they raised it to 20k :( Could have saved myself $250 ;(

I only have about 1k gold across 5 accounts (I would have had 0 if not for my inscription selling before the expansion) and I only have 1 epic flyer on 1 70 and not even epic land on most toons (only 3 epic land I think) - for instance just the spell training and a slow ground mount set me back 350g on my l61 raf granted druid. Also I trained next level of profession on my 2 70s and at 35/50g a pop it costs quickly - in other words I'm broke ! How do you make 100k gold ? (or even just 10k)

ALOT of dailies in TBC ( lots of 70's ), sharding all greens / blues, selling all cloth, selling all Primals, and playing the AH.

I'm about as flat broke as you can get. All 10 Characters have Epic Flyers, and the DK has the Skeletal Griffon, but I'm so broke I can't even get all my professions past 375.

I started with 15k gold and I was down to 4k gold after one day of being level 80. :>

I got myself quite some craftables as I wanted to go straight to heroics. I had my epic flyers already though at level 70. :p

Got epic flyers and should have enough to get flying again when i hit 77 at the weekend. Questing up has been a bit of a mission, i think i stopped enjoying myself around level 73 :P

I'm making an absolute killing with frostweave cloth. 40g a stack and it sells like it's going out of style. I tossed up 80 some stacks last night and they literally all sold in about 30 mins. 3200g later I was a happy camper :D Now if only one of my guys was a tailor :(

Started with somewhere around 60-70k...since hitting 80 that number has gone down by half.

Started with crap gold and still have crap gold. Made a lot but have been spending a lot leveling professions. I want this team to be some serious gold generators to fund my other teams so it will be worth it I hope. Still need to drop 26K on epic fliers and nowhere even near that. Under 1K gold right now. :)

I'm about even compared to launch day (10kish), but I did spend a LOT on raising blacksmithing, engineering, enchanting, tailoring and leatherworking to 440, buying titansteel (for the maces, shield a booties) and of course cold weather flying.

Dailies (Icecrown) are starting to make me a bunch of gold now, ~1200g a day. Finally got my epic fliers, owe my aunt (she plays wow too, get over it) 8000g from a loan she gave me. Along with I just bought 4 Titansteel Guardians ('http://thottbot.com/i41384'), HOLY CRAP AMAZING. Recommend getting them, however they cost a lot if you buy the mats like I did. Lighting Bolt for me is now critting for 5k+ with my totems down and Cooldowns up.
