Who knows where people get the gold from in WoW, but given that people will buy the what I put on the AH for what ever price I chose, am I in the wrong? Note that I initially wanted gold in wow to buy 5x epic flyers, I have since just enjoyed the idea of "horde"-ing gold just because and I now find the AH quite fun because I am a wierdo.

Players have reportedly been banned / temp-banned for attempting to control the markets on servers.
And I've read Blue posts saying that they would never, ever ban someone for doing so provided they didn't artificially manipulate things.
But hey, never seen Blues contradict each other or just be outright wrong right?
Personally, I don't see it as an issue because A) there is almost nothing that can't be had with a little time and effort that can't be had on the AH and B) you can break someone trying to control a market, if you can supply w/e they are attempting to control at an inflated rate.

If people don't do this, the auction as a market would be completely non-functional imo.

When i see people try to control the market, I just undercut them for some quick cash (basically guarenteed to sell as they will buy you out). But then I just keep flooding it. Especially with cloth. I have a lot of cloth haha.
I controlled the outlands herb market for about 2 weeks till I ran out and had to farm more herbs (had around 2500)... made lots of gold
