View Full Version : Keyclone (EDIT : not related to KeyClone)

Greetings,

I'm using Keyclone on a 5 Box setup (1 pally, 4 priests).

When I hit the "2" key, all my Priests launch the SW:Pain dot.

But my main doesn't react, though the "2" key is Attack.
(basic stuff but I'm still fool-proofing the basics)

Actually my Main doesn't respond to any 1-12 key pressure, while my alts all do.

Any idea ?

/salute
PS : may not be related to Keyclone though I guess since my 4 Alts are responding, Keyclone is doing part of the job.

what is your setup?
are all 5 on one machine?
if not, did you connect the keyclones together?
if it's all one machine, did you accidently check white-list or put the keys in the do-not-pass list?

Greetings Keyclone and thanks for the fast feedback, fully appreciated.

All 5 on the same machine, main on one screen, 4 alts on second screen.

No checked-box in the do-not-pass list, including white-list.

I just launch the 5 clients, then Keyclone, then type my common password to 5 clients and I'm in.
(ie. I logged in and out, rebooted about 10 times, same result).

Note : when I check the Keyclone window, I can see a "*" in the status listing of the 5th line (sometimes, not always).

the '*' next to one of the entries denotes the currently active clone.

if you are able to type your password into one and they all get it, it sounds like keyclone is working properly.

are you on vista by any chance? on vista, you MUST do a run-as-administrator for it to work reliably

let me know if that helps.

this may sound stupid, but if your using a bar mod, make sure the binding for the key you wanting to press is setup to the correct bind.

i laid out all my bars the same and it didnt work (i was tired), it was only after trying very complex fixes that i realised that bar one was actually bar 2. and the button i was wanting to push didnt have anything in, otherwise i would of picked up on that faster.

again, sorry if it sounds stupid, but it happened to me.

@ Keyclone

My apologies, this had nothing to do with KeyClone.

The whole binding of Action Keys 1 to 12 on c:\wow1 directory had been deleted-cancelled.

No idea how that happen, first time I encounter this in dozens of WoW installs-reinstalls since EU CBT.

I feel like a real naab for failing to check before posting :(

@ Smallo

Thanks for the hint but I'm using fresh WoW installs with zero add-ons, for the exact reason you suggested.

PS : I edited my OP title.
