will link you to a downloader for the WotLK expansion and has been giving me some pretty good bandwidth averaging around 750KBs 67% of 1.9 gigs in 20mins get in line before it becomes flooded :P

this is the expansion you are downloading once installed all you will need to do is enter your code you get inside the box you buy no need for using the installer disks

You know release day/night is doing to be nothing but crashing servers and constant reboots anyway.This is handy for at least one of my friends that I'm buying the game for. He lives about 2 hours away from me, so while I'm more than happy to cover the game for him, it would suck to have to ISO and upload to him.

I don't know what you are doing, but I run the file, choose wotlk and it takes abour 30 seconds to get half way full on the bars and then just quits to: "Localization.xml not found"

any ideas?

Besides, the whole point of being ready to go right at 9pm PST is so you can get a couple hours in BEFORE the constant crashing/reboots ;)

How do you get your CD keys before midnight local time though? Or are you on the east coast?

And the realm list only has one realm - Arathor.
And there's no oceanic option

That being said /shrug maybe I'm just a bit paranoid but given all the virus attacks that are aimed at gamer's these days I'll just wait to download from the DVD.

running vista? if so, dependin on how you have wow currently installed vs how you attempted to install with the client, it may not take properly. like, the whole directories thing. i left mine set to install everything in C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft so i didnt have to relearn where everything was kept (also makes copyin the game easier). only thing i can think of. if you have xp then i really have no idea.

also, i seen over on wotlkwiki that the client was having issues as well. re'dl the client and tryin re-installing and see if that helps.

From past experience, I doubt I'll even be able to log into the servers for 2 days.

And I'm pretty sure the stores aren't going to run out of the game since I've yet to find a single active WoW player in NY...but then again I don't get out a lot. :POn the contrary, this is when i use to play on smolderthorn, so maybe a Ellay remebers this. But jumping into the portal was actually just fine. Not too many crashes, about 100 people thought they were suppose to kill that big dude infront o fthe portal, and they all died... that was hilarous.

Outside the portal on the azeroth side, rogues ganked me and everyone else in the crater for a good hour...

quite smooth just a lot of idiots, rogues, and the epic feel.

MY prediction this time around says...
there will be idiots
there will be rogues..
there will also be 10,000 shammans trying to thunderstorm people off boats, docks etc.

I confirmed that the Wrath of the Lich King content will be made available at midnight in your respective US time zone, which happens to occur first for those on the east coast - 9 p.m. pacific time.

I also feel it's unfair that east coasters get to watch The Daily Show every night before I do, but apparently physics and astronomy are not on my side.

Which is facking bullshit, but whatever. This reminds me, is Magtheridon a west coast or east coast server? Maybe I will get to play at 9pm!

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the game coming out midnight EST? If not then quite a few websites have their countdown clocks wrong.
