Use: Increases the duration of your Flame Shock ability by 6 sec and it is not consumed by casting Lava Burst. ('http://thottbot.com/s55545')

I'm trying to decide if this will be worth using. Right now I'm leaning towards putting it on one shammy, so that you should, in theory at least, only have to cast flame shock once for every three Lava Bursts.

However...I'm just sure if if anyone will be alive after getting Flame+CL+LavaBurst to make it worthwhile ^_^

wait, what, you only need to flameshock on 1 shammy to get to do lava burst crit on all 5?

I always thought it had to be your own flame shock

I always thought it had to be your own flame shockIt does. It function's can be paralleled to Stormstrike (which only increase THAT shaman's nature damage). At one point in beta it was bugged, but the design is that it has to be your flame shock, and last I checked that was how it was working on beta.

Regardless, flame shock glyph is completely worth it for PVE and PVP - simply put, with the glyph you'd get 2 lava bursts per flame shock rather than 1. My current thoughts on glyphs are Flametongue Weapon, Flame Shock, and Elemental Mastery @ 80. With Water Shield, Water Breathing and Water Walking minors.

Flameshock gylph is huge and should only be working on each Shaman for the bonus so it will be required. On top of that it's a good DPS improvement.

My glyphs are currently the same. Have 5 flame shock glyphs sitting in bank. Only I use astral recall minor instead of water breathing, since i never, ever swim. Also using 10% lightning bolt mana off instead of flametongue weapon... but thinking about when we have flame burst, and chain lightning, LB will be used like 50% less, so flametongue might be the way to go.

i would think that glyph of chain heal would be more popular because in a 5 man your chain heal will hit everyone.

after the spellpower change, my shammies already prety much heal themselves from 25% to full with 1 chain heal so.
(granted my macro's are based that they all target themself as first target for chainheal)

I can see getting it for pve, but for pvp will anyone survive 4-5x lava burst to warrant needing it not being consumed?

I can see getting it for pve, but for pvp will anyone survive 4-5x lava burst to warrant needing it not being consumed?Well since they will know who is being focused i.e. OMG Warrior has 4 flame shocks on him! Incoming Lava Burst! They will most likely pre heal that person I am guessing atleast that is what I would do. Otherwise their team mate is toast. With it not being consumed it allows for another lava burst right away instead of reapplying FS which I think will make the kill even if they start healing their team mate.

It saves ~25 mana per cast. Whereas, 2% extra crit can proc clearcasting for a 40% savings.

Plus, I'm not sure where or how I'm going to gem. But my current thought is dropping as much +crit off the gems as I can to + haste and +hit (the later being the priority obviously, since we have a MUCH higher hit rating to overcome now @18% for bosses), for PvE. My pvp gear will still be heavy crit and haste, but regardless, I was trying to glyph and spec for both which I think flame shock, flametongue, and EM are the best combo we have for glyphs.

Didn't spell hit required for bosses get reduced to 9%? You might want to check that out.
