4x elemental shamans and 1 restro shaman

hello guys, just a quick question for those of you that have experienced with various shammy configs
and instanses

i got a offer to chance main in my raidguild from rogue and into a restro shammy. :thumbsup:
i can greed roll elemental gear when the main have gotten it so its a bonus.

i have run 5x elementals up to now 68x67,65 is the lvls on my shammys, the levelign speed is acceptable.
i have played a healer in pretbc and done quite so good to say so myself.

my question is for pve and instance runs
is it duable to do instnaces without less dps shammy or should i respect when i wanna solo my own stuff?

i do see the potensial when i do my own instances with having a more dedicated healer
but without a dedicated tank i suspect my dps output will suffer a bit and i would make instance running more diffcult for myself.

i have been thinking of leveling up a paladin for tank, so migth be a suitable reason for doing so as well


have anyone testet out 4x elemental and one restro for doing instances, what is your experience and any tips?

I don't run 5 shaman so take this however you want but I believe 5 shaman are about steamrolling content and you would only be hurting yourself.

Hopefully, the dual spec aspect of the game isn't too far away and it won't matter.

I started off with 5 Shaman, but now I run 1 Paladin, 3 Shaman and 1 Druid, one of the Shaman is heal-specced. Even though the Druid is 6 levels behind, I still blast through instances, the resto Shaman really shines during emergency situations and Earth Shield means I rarely have to heal on trash (in my first Sethekk Halls run today, I only had to heal during the bosses and the final trash pull before the last boss).

But as you don't have a dedicated tank, my advice would be to stick with Elemental Shaman until you need a Resto, which may not be until you hit heroics or some bosses (I couldn't do the second boss in The Blood Furnace without a tank at level 62 :[ )

Also, it's resto, not restro, thought I'd save your R key some trouble. :D

I run 1 restro 4 ellys and have np doing heroics .My guys are all very well geared i do heroic mgt np
