Hi,

It seems like it'd be extraordinarily hard to get 4 accounts..do you guys all pay to purchase these accounts and then buy the $15 monthly fee?

Yes.
Interesting, it'd really add up - thanks though. :)

1 fairly powerful computer, $1600
4 WoW accounts (battle chest) $160
4 monthly fees (after free months from recruit a friending myself) $60
Having people come up to me in the noobie areas while I test and say "WTF!"... priceless!
For everything else there's prepaid cards.

Seriously though, the cost isn't all that much. I would have the PC anyway, and would have bought Assassin's Creed and Crysis at $110 bucks this month instead of spending all my time on WoW. If I wasn't playing WoW in that time, I would be using my recently canceled Netflix subscription ($17 a month), going to see 1-2 more movies a month, ($16-$60 depending on how much I like the girl I take), and going out for a drinks or dinner instead of going out for PVP with my WoW buddies ($10-$50 depending on who/where/how thirsty).

Quick Q: If you "recruit yourself" is it still possible to keep the same name for the account owner (across all accounts) in order to allow cross-account xfering if you ever wanted to do that?

Or do you just make up bogus names?

keep the contact info and email address the same. after that, you should be ok.

don't forget to 'recruit-a-friend' for yourself... $60 would pay for beer on a (light) friday night ;)

Or Keyclone :)

When I started boxing, it cost upwards of 5k or more easily. Today, you can do the same thing with a 1k system and even get WoW at a discount with the expansion.
