My team hit 65 (as I cleared Slavepens) and I headed over to nagrad today to do ring of blood. I didn't have too many issues with the encounters until I hit the last one. I pretty easily handle Mogor until he reses and then he absolutely destroys my prot pally. I have two shammies non-stop healing, plus 4x healing totems up, plus all the other totems. Plus I am keeping up holy shield as much as possible. But he is hitting me (normal) for 4K and I only have 7K health. One crit and I die. My gear is pretty decent mix of instance drops and quested items. I tried 15 straight times (had to go repair once) and the best I did was to get him to half health. Does anyone know of any tips on this guy? I can obviously compeltely negate his chain lightning, but I can't keep my tank up at all. And what gets me is I can tank the appropriate level instance bosses with no problem at all.

Very frustrated at this point.

Just grab some outside people to help you. As long as you tag the mob you can get level 70 help on him :-)

Ahh .. the Ring of Blood. One of the at time greatest quest lines.

Yep, most of us who have done this a few times recruit out-of-group help to get through the chain smoothly and at one sitting.

In my current boxing career I took my 5 shammies through the Ring of Blood at 65 with cross-faction help ON A PVP SERVER. That was a high-point of WoW for me. I came upon a Horde group battle in progress and helped them dps down all the encounters, with appropriate emotes. They stuck around afterwards to help out all my guys - they even tanked for me. Wouldn't count on cross-faction assistance, but this is one where it's better to run through the quest line twice with an outside group then to struggle through it in a solo group. Especially if you want to get the quest rewards and use them as soon as possible level-wise.

I think I have been holding on asking for help for a few reasons... I don't want to have people come to help and then give me a hard time about boxing. I am pretty sure that would be guarenteed. But mostly I just want to do it myself... that is the whole point of multi boxing. I am almost 66.. would 4x stone elementals give me enough time to kill him or is he going to destroy them 1 hit each?

It wierd.. I bet I could take durn now, but this guy hit way too hard. I wonder if he ahs been buffed in recent months. I have done this on a lot of characters (6 x 70) and I don't remember this much pain.

That reminds me... I have been wanting the reward for my shammies http://www.wowhead.com/?item=25759 but would it be better to get the http://www.wowhead.com/?item=25774 from the durn quest at 66. it has a lot more dmg, but is missing the mp5.

He hasn't been buffed, he's just a pain. i did this on my 3 shaman with my 70 T5 druid tanking and had a rough time with the shaman going oom even using pots.

Only thing I can think of is to try it when you're 67 or get help. I was able to do the series at 67, I had to do it two times actually cuz one of my characters is a bitch and decided to lag behind one level.

Anyways, my paladin actually had a fort buff, and BoK. So he had about 9000 health, plus my priest heals very well and even applies a bubble when he crits for a heal. I did have trouble with him cling my group to oblivion, but once I spaced him away from them I was fine. Not an easy fight though.

Durn is MUCH easier!

Find a friendly lock with one of those elite felguard pets from the forge camps and that pet can solo him while you DPS.

I did this on four different teams of mine in the last two days (thanks to RAF I got 19 toons to 60, now moving them towards 70). I soloed one of the teams through the first four guys, died once on the fifth, then decided it would be nicer to help others and easier for me as well.

I just looked for teams forming in general chat - every 1-2 hours a team will form of random level 65-67s in the zone. Just message their leader that you'll meet them at the Ring and help them if they'll then stay around and help you. All the fights are trivial with 10 players. People realize they are very hard with five and will readily agree.

At 65 it will be almost impossible for you to 5 man the last boss...

There are numerous posts/articles about this last quest and even with an extra 70 helping out on top of the 5 65s it will be tough. Level up a bit or see if you can get another multiboxer to help or maybe 2 70s (maybe just 1 70 if hes a well geared tank - anything other than a tank and you'll probably need 2).

I don't bother doing the Ring of Blood til I'm 70. At that point, it's not too hard.

I tried to do it early too, also with a prot pally, and had a tough time of it. The champion was the first brick wall, at around 65 or whatever the level is when you get the quest (64? 66?). I came back a level later and downed him, but then Mogor sprang up to start the embarassment anew. I eventually got frustrated and swapped my pally out for my 70 warrior, and cleared it so my dps at least could get their staves. I didn't come back to finish it for the pally 'til my team was 70 and in crafted epics. Noooo problem then.

I'd recommend going ahead and asking for help, as you may not crack this one yourself until the rewards don't matter as much. I too know the disappointment of not being able to finish a quest solo, that is the whole point after all, but some are just out of reach at the appropriate level.

When I get my locks to Nagrand (currently level 62) I'm going to try and time it to get 5 elite felguards at once and go take down Durn the Hungerer. :)

Actually you don't even have to tag the mob.

As long as you start the event, someone else can tag it and receive loot rights for their party/group.
When it dies, its yours as far as quest completion goes.

See if you can dps or heal for another group and have them tank for your team.
You can provide a lot of whatever they're missing, and not having to focus on all of dps/heals/tanking at once, makes it a lot easier on you.
