Hello,

I'm currently dualboxing Paladin and Priest and they're going great. They will be 60 in the next week or so. Now, what do you suggest I do? I have 2 options:

1. keep dualboxing and level in Outland as usual. Without triple XP this will be painful though, even if you take into account the recent XP nerf from 60 to 70.

2. Spec both of them to healing specs and level them separately in instances. With the new wave of DKs coming, everybody and their uncle will be tank / DPS, and healers will be in huge demand. My question is, how good is healadin as a healer actually?

My main is a 70 warlock. Should I level just the priest to 70 as fast as possible, and level from 70 yo 80 with warlock / priest combo? (the priest is on 2nd account, so I can't level with warlock / pally combo because they're both on 1st account)

Oddly both options are good, I had a hunter at 63 when the nerf hit, and leveling went way faster. Though this was my first time to 70 and the nerf had hit part way through I think outlands leveling is much less painful than old world.

On the othert hand I did purpostly leveled healers with my RAF to help out the flood of DK's coming through.

So like I said both are good.

Trust me, even with a massive wave of DKs, instance leveling will still be FAR slower than just questing until you hit 70 which is AMAZINGLY fast now.

Instancing is generally slower than questing even if you stay in an instance non-stop and never leave, but that is 100% optimal conditions (if you were 5 boxing). Since you'll still have to wait for groups that want to instance you will be down a lot of the time. Also, most of the smart DKs wont want to instance, they'll just blow through quests to get to northrend ASAP and get better gear than any 60-69 instances can give.

The only way instancing can be/is more effective is if a) you have rest experience to burn (I've yet to find a quest that rewards 60,000+ exp per hour with full rest exp); or b) if a zone is overpopulated (like all of the Northrend zones will be :-)). Otherwise, as others have stated, questing will be much faster.

Thanks everyone. It sounds like Pally / Priest questing then :D
I was just worried about the amount of "collect hellboar meats" quests that I would need to do. But with the XP nerf I can probably skip some of them. And post patch 3.0.2, I think my pally / priest combo can actually take down some elites that were meant for 2/3 ppl previously.

here's my reasoning.

you know those birds just outside falcon watch and temple of such and such? they're all nicely grouped together? well each one, with rested exp, gives a solo'er 1000 exp. dualbox that, and i'd expect 500 exp each kill.
now each quest turnin will give you a good 10k exp. so what does that relate to in # of mobs? 20, dualboxed, rested. with a pally and priest, AoE with optional AE spell from priest? yea take a break from questing once in a while and farm on those until your rested exp is done with. =]
