Anyone want to share some tips they are using to get ready for wotlk?

What I am doing is buying cheap mats for some profession items and selling it for gold. So far I have made enough to get my guys epic mounts. I have been running daily quest everyday I can play. Most of my professions are topped off and ready for Wotlk. A friend says he has a quest log filled with 25 completed quest. I dont know if it will give you experience once you turn them in but its worth a shot. Try to clear out your bank as best you can. Save your honor for lvl 80.

Do not save your honor. I have recently read a blue post saying that there will be a full honor reset

Yes. people bitched and moaned so hard when blizz announced the honor reset on wrath release, so they changed it to an honor reset as soon as you hit 71, which everyone is strangely content with. People are strange.

There is no honor reset...
There is only a arenapoint reset.

I upped some professions, and made bundles of repair bots. This way I dont have to leave instances that much when im going to lvl in WoTLk!

Correction Honor and BG tokens can be used at 80. Arena points reset once you hit lvl 71. Just so everyone knows to SAVE BG HONOR.

- buy lots of cherry coke and pizzas
- get enough smokes
- disconnect the phone and doorbell
- call your ISP and threaten them to drive a car into their headquarters if the interwebz goes down within 4 weeks.
- provide the cats with enough food for a month (they'll start dragging birds, mice, bunnies and chicken inside if I don't feed them for a day(true story))

hmm..
that's about it I guess :P
ah yeah,
and make sure the lvl 56 druid is 70 in 3 days, he already got the full caster set from the invasion event and rings from HH \o/

Hmm, you might want to swap those 2 if you're doing them in order.

- call your ISP and threaten them to drive a car into their headquarters if the interwebz goes down within 4 weeks.- If you have DSL Internet, purchase Cable as a backup.
- If you have Cable Internet, purchase DSL as a backup.
- Purchase a generator for power emergencies. (I live on the Florida Coast, so this is great for Hurricanes [Justification])
- Take 7 days off work.

Hinted but never confirmed ^^

I'm gonna do the isle and shattrah dailies, and then just turn them in after installing :P

The info is incorrect. Its been confirmed by a blue (and by the fact its completely obvious) that rewards are calculated when you turn the quest in, NOT when you accept it (therefore you will get XP for completed quests turned in after you upgraded to WotLK, not money).

Case in point, when you ding 70 and still have 4 quests completed, you turn those 4 quests in and now get lots of gold for them instead of no XP and only a tiny amount of gold.

Case in point: When you completed quests before BC and then turned them in after upgrading you didn't get exp.

Either way I haven't seen any blue on the subject for wotlk.

I got exp from quests I did in pre-bc after bc started...

From what I've read, it was a lot faster to clear the quest log at 60 and just head to Hellfire then it was to run around E.PL/W.PL/Winterspring etc turning quests in at 60.

I'm not sure if this is still true or not for WotLK, but in BC you were better off without any quest log clutter then you were to turn in a bunch of already completed quests.
I suppose if you log off in SMV at a quest hub with six quests to turn in, and are bound in SW which is a harbor for one of the new zones... that won't hurt your cause much.

Basically for preparations...

Have every toon you'd like to level to 80, as close to 70 as possible.
Clear as much as possible from their bags.
Have a few stacks of the best food/water/bandages available.
Possibly some elixir's but space is probably worth more then a lot of these.
For maximum profit, gathering skills at 375 and sell everything you gather while leveling.
For maximum leveling, ignore gathering while leveling.
Be camped the day before the expansion where the expansion boat/zepellin arrives, so you can get started as soon as the game is live.
Catch up on your sleep before the expansion, you'll probably be short on sleep for the first little while.

Either way I haven't seen any blue on the subject for wotlk. Please dont make statements that are patently untrue and not backed up by evidence. I had a full quest log on my old 60 main and gained around 40% of 60-61 by handing them all in when TBC 1st came out.

I had some finished quests on my char before I transferred it to beta. I got XP when turning them in. I finished about 20 quests today to turn in after the servers come back up :-)

You WILL get XP when you turn in completed quests after you upgrade to wrath.

Anyone who has seen a BLUE post to the contrary, PLEASE link it here. Otherwise I'll do my other 11 dailies and see you all in Northrend with an XP bump.

It`s cool if you stacked 75k honor but I don`t know if you seen honor prices on items. This amount will only buy you one item.
