I recently made a 2man druid team and im getting random lag spikes despite both settings on high or low...Inputlag has been disabled as well
Specs:Q6600(3.3ghzquadcore)+AtiHD4850.Vistax64 ultimate
Is there something im doing wrong or is my system not strong enough?;/
Secondly is there a way to limit FPS besides using keyclone?

how much memory do you have?
set up maxfps and maxfpsbk
you should be able to 5 box with that hardware without much lag if yeh got enough memory

Secondly is there a way to limit FPS besides using keyclone?
Try
/console maxfpsbk 10
/console maxfps 30
What kind of "lag spikes" are you getting? Network latency? Frame latency?
How much memory and what kind of hard drive(s) do you have?
Using Vista's resource monitor/manager. This will show you a graphical view of your "bottle-neck".

Currently using 4gb ram(non overclocked) and a 7400RPm 32mb sata drive.Have 1 wow installed and the other mklinked....Any advice to solve this?Happens really randomly but more often in shatt

I noticed wow.exe keeps writing to these 2 files highlighted below.I have tried disabling the sound but the spikes still happen

Rampage, this is the sort of issue I am having too. Before patch 3.02 in WoW it was fine, but since then I have been getting the following toon doing very weird lagging things.
Ive got my video interface set to minimum, it is still happening. Resetting maxfpsbk and maxfps doesnt seem to have helped either.
Im wondering if I need to delete and re-install keyclone. Ive tried resetting it to its defaults.

You have a storage I/O bottle-neck. Your video settings have an indirect effect on this.
The resource monitor doesn't seem to sample quick enough to show it. Here's what's happening:
Since Shat has a LOT of objects to render, it does not keep it all in memory. As you move around, it loads the object details from the hard drive. If it can not grab it from the HD fast enough, you see this as a FPS hit since your videocard has nothing to render.
This is where the hard drive specs come into play. A low seek time, high RPM and large buffer is ideal.
7400RPm 32mb sata drive I'm assuming you meant 32GB? If this is a 32GB drive, it's probably pretty old, and the seek time is extremely high. I would suggest you upgrade your hard drive. This is why most gaming computers these days come with a RAID 0. It maximizes your read speeds. I'm not sure if you've seen the threads that talk about getting a solid-state disk...but this is why people are moving towards them. They're extremely fast.
Thaumaturgos, I wouldn't bother re-installing keyclone...that's not it. Post your specs.

Its 500gb.The 32 mb is the cache.I havnt seen a drive below 100gb that has a 32 mb cache so far;/
