Hello guys. I sit my Paladin/Shaman guys resting for WotLK. I start boosting a mixed team of Priest , Warrior, Warlock and Druid with my 70 Prot Pally. The idea is to have a 70 of any class that i dont have yet. I ding 40 yesterday after done Deadmines/Stockade/S.Monastery. I understand that my next instance is Zul'farrak so i went there. I start pulling everything with my mount but i lose the pull because most of them stop following me to go back. I start fighting the few that stay with me but as soon they go under 30% of health all start running like crazy making me kill one by one. Im sure that im doing something wrong.
Somebody have a video of a boost run in Zul'? I found one in Youtube but 1) Its a mage 2) they make just one pull and reset (that way i will hit the "too many instance")
If nobody have a video, someone can please explain me how to work it out please? Thank you very much guys.

I have noticed from other instances that the range mobs will follow you seems smaller than before. It's just an impression -- not verified or anything. If you don't dismount and consecrate once in a while you'll lose them even earlier. "Keep them angry."
However, the biggest problem I remember about ZF boosting with a pally is:
- Pally wants/needs to make large pulls to be effective.
- In ZF every other mobs will drop healing totems.
- Pally's damage is too low to overcompensate that healing and will eventually go oom.
- You die.
So I boosted through ZF with my hunter. That was much better.
Have you thought of trying Maraudon instead? (Haven't tried myself, but in the same level range)
Cheers!

Well i have a 68 hunter on the same account of the paladin but how i can work that? I guess is not making big pulls, right?

another good place to boost is the beginning part of BRD. you could pull the entire first cavern back to the entrance, nuke them down and than restart the instance, netting you around 50+ kills. also the tavern inside BRD is filled with easy to kill mobs.

Do what hunters do best: Single target damage, maybe multishoot a group. Send pet in, feign death, and so on well.. you know. You can at least try an see how it works out for you.
I personally like those large pulls. So I would try BRD as mentioned or maraudon with the pally.

I try the Hunter and its good for a instance quest run but will never be a good exp/hour. I will try BRD or Maraudon with the pally. If nothing works maybe i will quest until outlands with the Warrior as tank, Priest healer and Moonkin + Warlock DPS. TX for ur replys. Peace!!!
PD. I have a Mage in one of the ALTS account ... maybe its time to transfer it to my Pally/Main account 8)

hunters in ZF. I have a 70 BM hunter...heal pet and send him around to attack several(10-20) mobs in a large area. Make sure he gets at least one hit on each mob. I always use the toons I'm boosting for a bit of added dps(most miss) then open up...keep explosive traps down to finish mobs you aggro. also, spend a bit of gold for the best ammo you can afford. It'll speed things up. Keep pet healed and try to focus on the mob your pet is on while throwing out multi shot. I've never been able to pull the whole instance in one pull but easily can do it in about 5.
I've been using my BM hunter in ZF. Gorilla pet with Thunderstomp every 7 seconds. I can pull about a fourth of the instance each time with this technique.

I mount up with crusader aura and pull the whole front of the instance (up until the scarab room) and pull it all back to the entrance. I've never really had troubles with resets. It takes about a minute or so for the whole pack to make it all the way back to the front of the instance, since they have a decent way to travel.

I make my daughter boost me through ZF on her tank druid. She rocks. My dudes would usually DPS and, if they could, they would heal her, making her able to do even bigger pulls. The biggest was from the front, hang a left to the Ghaz'hrilla (sp) area. It was pretty sweet.
The big issue I had on my pally in ZF was being chain frogged and beat to death. I have a screen shot somewhere of being frogged while mounted.
Pally in strat starting at 45 was lights out and I made a ton of gold 9being an OCD looter). With very good heals she could almost pull everything that you could get to with out opening a gate. I couldn't heal my self (either on pally or on a clone) doing this but my other daughter on her 62 boomkin with like 300 spell power did OK, probably 6 maybe 7 of the big undead packs at once with no real issues. With a geared 70 healer I bet I could pull the whole thing, I might have to find one and try. There are also a ton of quests in there worth major XP, even without RAF.

can you do occassional consecration rank 1 to keep the mobs aggro'ed?
crusader aura+ mount then when you drop off your mount, devotion aura. then when you get close to your party, retribution aura.
blessing of sanctuary + seal of light +judgment --> this essentally keeps your mana full and your health up. use highest rank consecration now.
doesnt your warrior have an AoE spell that will slow the guys down?
druid in bear can do mass AE swipe.
warlock can hellfire.
and priest can holy nova to heal up warlock and pally, and do damage. i'd say, you can probably destroy them before they even take two steps away. but this is assuming you actually use the other guys in your group. if you dont, then, well... you're kinda gimping yourself. lol runs would be a lot faster with more folks attacking.

Yep ur right and i will try those AoE from my ALTS but sometimes is a little risky to have the lowbies so close. The mobs fire totems can hit them too. At least for the Warrior, druid and Priest AoE works they need to be close to the pally. I need to see how the AoE attack from the warlock will work for me bc i dont have too much exp on MB mouse click spells or mouse broadcast. But thank you, i will try some of that ideas. Gracias :D

no no no. hellfire. not rain of fire. your warlock should have hellfire, which is an AoE spell that comes from the warlock. it must be channeled, and he must not move. its like arcane explosion or holy nova. he's the center of the AoE. if you have a gnome, the animation looks like he's farting out fire. anyway....
the AoE spells will take care of your totems quick. or you can have a toten killing macro stick to you warlock. i say warlock because your priest has better things to do than be on totem duty.
/target "totem_name"
/target "totem_name"
/target "all other totem names"
/shoot
what i'd do is have your team just stand in one spot and wait.
have the pally do his thing and run around. when you feel that you've gathered enough mobs, run back but only within 25-30 yards of your team. use a corner to take advantage of LOS so the casters come in close.
consecrate, blah blah blah.
press /follow on all your alts.
once they are next to you, have them go at it. =]

HMMM ... Nevermind. I try it and was a instant wipe for the lowbies. First Priest AoE grab agroo from the casters and was an instant kill lol. The Warrior and Druid need rage for the AoE so they need to stay with the Pally on the pack. The fire totems dont do nothing to my Pally but kill the Warrior and the Druid very quick. I make them very quick from 1-40 so they dont have great armors, so the Warlock AoE dont do much with that 29 spell dmg lmao.
I try again to pull the first part of the instance using the druid and priest only as backup healers. I open all the crypts and run back and i can kill everything but i dont see the exp bar jumping too much plus i lose a lot of kills bc take a lot of time to run after them. ?(
Well WotLK will come in 4 days so i guess i will give up on this and just wait until friday to start using my pally/shaman team :pinch:

i edited my comment above. dont take your team with you! have them stay behind. if you do it that way, you'll always have aggro unless you bubble.
