Seeing this scenario 20 times in a row can be frustrating. It's worse in AB, as they all follow you around to "watch".

It makes me want to start AFKing x 5.


To be honest, I just dinged 70 recently..so my gear isn't that great.

I do my part in BGs, hell I do a lot more than most. I do have a problem with rogues, however. Even with thunderstorm...they can dismantle my guys in seconds. :(

I haven't received any of that ... because I'm FAR too worried about it to try! I've done a little bit of AB and AV with my three locks and fortunately Horde was all steamrolly that day ... but I can imagine the comments to suck a lot should I join a failing BG with all five guys ...

It was tough when I started, best thing as a new member to the 5boxer movement - Get used to it... especially early on. Time will show you that there will always be whiners and complainers, but you will find a lot of cool pals along the way also. Just shrug it off. Gear is an issue, theres no getting around it - but in a week the slate is wiped clean. Just get as much practice in as possible. Thats the only thing that matters.

My main toon is a Lt. Commander. No big deal, but it usually makes me the leader in almost every BG I enter. This is nice since I can move my guys around. It also helps when people start in on my for boxing. "WTF, why am I not in the raid?" or "Who keeps switching my group. Why am I in group 8 in AB?"

Turn off BG chat. Wish I had thought of that :/

i did notice a couple of things in your talents that will help you,

you have 3 points in lava flows. which right now only gives you 5 yards distance to your flame strike which is not a very good shock right now, earth and frost are better. you learn lava burst at 75, so this talent is useless to you right now. but at 75 it will be OP, because lava burst cast on top of flame strike is an automatic crit. and at that level it will be a crit around 5k+.

you also don't have elemental oath and totem of wrath. both should be MANDATORY PICKS FOR ELEMENTALS. THESE ARE TWO OF YOUR BEST TALENTS AND YOU DON'T HAVE THEM. totem of wrath increases your damage by 100 and +3% crit chance. with 5 elemental toons in the same party (that 20 totems in total)

with 5 toons, elemental oath should be up all the time, adding more +5% crit chance. both of these are huge increases to dps and your burst damage will go up.
make these changes and you will notice a big difference in your dps. remember the more damage you do the faster they die.


also I would add major glyph of chain lightning and chain healing if you haven't already.

(p.s.) just realized you might have totem of wrath on one or two of your slaves, if this is the case forget that part. put please change the lava flow, i noticed some other ppl in your guild made the same mistake for some reason.

the "pikey" is from snatch.

and totem of wrath doesn't stack, but one or two toons in your 5 man should have it. i would think your main, so if you go solo you have it.

We all used Ellays spec 52/9/0 :Pnone of ellays toons have lava flow, his main has totem of wrath and no elemental oath, and the rest have elemental oath wihout totem of wrath.

which makes total sense. my main suggestion to the original poster was he was wasting 3 talents points on lava flows, when it is a useless talent until you get to lvl75, then it will be an OP talent. use those talent points and get elemental oath and totem of wrath. they will increase his spell damage by 100 for each toon and give him +8% crit chance. resulting in a huge increase in damage.

also noticed you don't have any enchants on any off your gear. or wait a week and go to northrend and get all new gear.

Saying they are afk if they are not is basically a lie and an abuse of the system - and you think that's good - people should report you for that...
If they are bad mouthing you they aren't doing anything to win the game, hence they may as well be afk, thus reportable.

I personally don't have any problems with abuse in BGs, I just laugh at it and insult right back, mostly with childish come backs lol. It's good to turn insults into a laugh imo :P

I'm also pretty sure the usual response to a "zomg someone's swearing!" ticket is "zomg, enable the profanity filter!" The exceptions are if they're deliberately circumventing it (exploiting) or continuously harassing the same person either using alts to circumvent ignore or by going at it behaviorally (harassment, exploiting), either of which will get 'em some penalty (warning/temp ban/permaban) depending on history.

Not that I work for Blizz CS or anything. :D

The profanity filter can be turned off so that you may use coarse language when chatting with friends, it is not there so you can swear at people and they only see $%&@.

I get such whispers from time to time too. Two times I deliberately handled the victory to the horde. Another time I got about 10 horde guys execute every alliance guy I pointed at. I play alliance, so it was like having your worst enemy killing your "allies" on your command. Was just hilarious.

In EOTS, when people started whispering me I just capped the flag and delivered it to the enemy base. Just get the flag, carry it to enemy base and mount so you drop the flag and someone from the enemy faction gets it.

In WSG I just went to horde base and capped the flag so no one else from my faction could get it, then stayed at the horde base till hordes came with the alliance flag and I dropped it, so they could return it. Didn't die during the whole BG.

In AV I waved an horde group and started pointing at one of the alliance guys that was badmouthing in the /bg chat. After they killed me once and seing I didn't even defend, the next time they saw me they just followed me and started executing alliances on my /point command. On this BG the alliance didn't even manage to lower the horde reinforcements under 550. Hordes got AV perfection and I got almost 20 horde guys /thank me at the end of the BG. In my BG group horde usually gets steamrolled in AV, so practically all the horde raid got AV perfection.

Remember that you play for fun. If your own faction doesn't provide you fun, then have fun with the other faction :)

Have any multiboxers ever found themselves reported and debuffed by an angry group in battlegrounds? I would think the more rabid anti-multiboxer folks would love to seize upon something like that to grief a multiboxer.

I recently farmed a few hundred thousand honor on each of my guys and playing anything but AV was a gigantic pain. EOTS wasn't bad because you can guard a base and keep people off the flag by yourself, but AB was pretty horrible and WSG was a massive pain. I just wish Blizz would make a BG where killing the other team was the sole goal. That would fix most of our problems lol.

My best advice would be keep playing.. after a few weeks you will be shocked how many people know your toons names and you will see YEAH!!! the 5boxer is here its a win!!!!

My best tactic was running north, kill balinda, run back down and recap IBT and hold it... having 1 tower up would slow allies enough to get the team time in the north end:)

Thanks in advance!been there done that....just stay with it for the gear. WOTLK you prolly can gear up much better with questing. Hardest part is WSG...just do your thing and hope it doesnt last too long...I usually just send my guys out and get killed then spend the time at the graveyard dead until I meet the limit then go back out and fight til I die again. that is if they turtle the game to get HP counts from your 5.

I get the occasional insult regarding my sexual orientation as well, I usually just reply with "OMG you caught me being gay on the internet, screenshots or it didn't happen."

I typically have quite a bit of fun with the hate tells, like a guy last night claiming to be an Electrical Engineer that attempted to tell me how to use the 3900USD I spend on 5 toons in a better manner. After about 2 secs I replied with that degree did nothing for you, I only pay once a month not once a week. Then he went on the defensive complaining about how I never make mistakes and whatnot, was mildly amusing then he ignored me saving me a spot in the ignore list, yay for self eliminating problem children.

I just hold mid, right ontop of the flag post. I have my thunderstorm macros offset, throw down my tremor/searing/healing/grounding totems.

I let a few guys load up ontop of me, then hit first thunderstorm. They literally fly off the bridge and die in the abyss. I let the next wave cover me, thunderstorm, weeee off the bridge. Rinse and repeat until they are scared to come near the flag. My team (under the best circumstances) understands to cap 2 towers and run flag asap.

Normally, the biggest challenge is convincing them to actually CAP THE 2 TOWERS and RUN THE FLAG. They just sit there watching....but my part is executed beautifully. :)
