Goodday,

Hello there multiboxers, I am johan a nooby 2 / 3 boxer.
I am 2 or 3 boxing very casual to level multiple characters to 70, and with some problems around the road this went pretty nice.

But now i have a problem wich i can fix myself anymore, and would really appriciate it if anybody could help me out.

My situation is as follow, i have always runned 2 or 3 WOW in window mode on 2 screens. This did not went well always but after some hardware upgrades and a strange way of setting up my WOW windows i could always get it starting.
But since last patch one of my WOW windows is freezing alot.
When one of my WOW windows is freezing up my other WOW window is still playable untill i press logout or close the window, then my whole system freezes up and have to reboot with the reset button.

My system is:
Windows Vista 64 bit
Dual core 3.16
Ati X4870 x2
8gig internal memory
(updated drivers of all hardware)
Right screen resoltion : 2560 x 1600
Left screen resolution : 1920 x 1200

Can anybody explain me what i am doing wrong ? I would really want to 2 box again in a simple multiple window configuration.
I am using only 1 WOW directory atm wich always worked fine can it be this ?
When i am multiboxing in window mode i have a WOW in window mode on both screens of my computer and have it in the reslotion wich that screen is running on :
Right screen resoltion : 2560 x 1600
Left screen resolution : 1920 x 1200

Some things :
Turning off Windows Aero : Did not work, my WOW windows look horrible, when i turn around graphics seem to "break" wich is not nice to see.
Turned of shaders : does not work

IF someobdy could help me out i would really appriciate it.

With regards,

Johan.

I had a friend that plays 2 accts 1 machine and he was complaining about the same type of problem that has cropped up since the last patch.

So I think it is a patch problem - I'll ask him to register and share.

Notes from last from last patch indicate several graphics fixes, must have broken something while doing so.

Finally i found the problem guys :)

If u play in window mode and u get freezing effects : Turn of Catalyst AI in ur Catalyst control center in the 3D section.

Multiboxing again and loving the game again. thank u all for reading.

Have fun in wrath of the lich king :)

I am actually having the same problem. Every so often one, two or three of my clients freeze up. The others still work and you can even see the frozen client's toons still moving around and doing whatever. I disabled the catalyst AI thingy and that helped a bit but still having problems. If I exit one of the other unfrozen clients the others magically work again.

The other day I was logging off wow and had such bad lag I just hit the power button. Afterwards i started getting those horribly fatal #134 errors so i ended up reinstalling windows and wow. Ever since then I have been having all kinds of problems. i installed warcraft and bc from disk and downloaded the lich from bizz. i'm wondering if that download got corrupted. used repair and deleted some of the mpqs as i found in a blue posting..did another repair. fatal crashes stopped but the weird freezing continues.

Try setting each window to a CPU affinity (if you are using a multi-core CPU that is)

As it has been suggested to me before when I was having extreme slowdown issues since patch, try turning off shadows on your other tunes and keeping them turned on, on your main...at least that solved my issues...
