So I just got my new piece of hardware today. I have been fooling with it the last 1½ hour trying to set it up with my 5 shamans.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers with the key binding - I have tried to devide dps & healing macros on 2 different map pages, but it just seems it could be optimized. I know these things is kinda "personal" but I would really appriciate either a file with the key mapping or just some hints and tips :)

Thanks :)

I really haven't played with mine as much as I should have but I currently dont use any paging.

My setup is pretty basic with the main 8 buttons being 1-8. The 3 buttons at the bottom are 0,- and = and on the left its tab, 9 and something I havent used yet.

Instead of using the pages I just use mouse4 and 5 as shift and alt and use those modifiers for all my skills.

The top 4 main buttons are where most of my offensive skills are like lightning bolt, shocks, chain lightning, thunderstorm. The other 4 are for heals and totems.

Probably not the best setup but does the job. Not sure I can ever go back to keyboard though, might need to get a spare N52te just incase!

Is it legal to make a macro in the n52te software f.ex. like ctrl+1 or alt+1 ? Is that against the WOW EULA?

macros on n52te's are legal. just dont use any time delays.

but i would not use macros on n52s anyway, as i would like to keep all my macros in one place, namely in WoW itself.

as for keybindings with my n52/n52te. just map your buttons from 1 to = any way you like. plus add in something for jump, tab, alt, ctrl, or shift for modifiers and targeting and youre golden.

the direction pad, on mine, is set to W, Q, S, E for forward, left, back, right.

I set the 3 left-most side buttons to TAB, CTRL,ALT. Rest is easy

01 = Left CTRL
06 = Left ALT
11 = Left SHIFT

02 - 05 = 2 - 5
07 - 10 = 7 - 0
12 - 14 = F1 - F3

That gives me 24 quick to use buttons with the modifiers that is. I dont use modifiers for the F1, F2 and F3 yet.

Scroll down = totems
Scroll up = jump on all

Movement with the padded stick.

Small button on top of that for TAB targetting

And I dont use the scroll press or the thumb button. At least not yet
