How do you do this and still feel remotely useful? I don't have any pvp gear on 4 out of my 5 shamans and am grinding S2, so I need these tokens.... however I feel completely useless and I can't blame my teammates for getting pissed off at that multiboxer causing them to lose. Sure, I can guard a flag or a tower, but with 5 people doing a 2-person job that's a big drain on the team...

First off get the 5 piece blue pvp set - you can practically already get it when you hit 70 just from doing quests...might need to run a few instances. That right there is like 170 resilience and another 1000 hp over what you already have (less mp5/mana though)
Aside from that it just takes practice to pvp good. I'd say on those matches you're better on offense just running to each base and killing everyone. Or in WSG your best bet is to totem up the flag room and guard it, or rush their flag room full force. Standing in the middle is probably a waste of time. Get instant ghost wolf for some good BG help also.

I hate WSG. I stay out of there as much as possible. I try to lose my 2 games per day when the least amount of people are online and i let my team know that i will only be playing the 2 games b4 doing something else.
AB is better, but capping the flag has a major flaw for me, as it takes concentration away from killing things to do it. I bring a team mate to touch the flag as i try to kills things.
EOTS rules for 5boxers. At least it did for me. Find one node that the enemy has 1-2 people at, and go there. Watch in awe as the bar magically moves in your direction, as you concentrate on killing the bad guys. Even if you die, many times you have diverted their attention from the flag, or other nodes long enough for your team (hopefully) to work on their objective. It doesnt take long with 5 to move the bar from the colored area to the grey part where they res elsewhere, then it just gets easier.
Yes being undergeared/ leveled sucks, but getting experience and working on tactics helps loads for later when you are the 1 they are afraid of.

I'm currently facing the same dilema. Although I'm sitting at 68-69 where I seem to have more of an impact I'm not sure if its just a waste of time.
Am I better off staying at this level for a bit and actually winning occasionally or moving to the 70 bracket and getting owned?

At this point, this close to the expansion, i would say that it would be a personal choice. Normally id say level to 70 but in less then 10 days everyone will be leveling. It maybe worth your while to stay there and get some pvp experience before moving on to level 80.. but really you are playing, what's more fun for you?

Maybe I'm just horrible. I have several 70s and consider myself a good player... I have FTL set up after a ton of pain trying to configure it, my main has 400 res and 11000hp, but I still for the life of me can't do anything useful in any of these BGs. One mage spamming arcane explosion or one good melee staying behind me will just ruin my f'ing day.

I decided to just level up, my first characters to 70 ever (including solo!)
We got owned on the first AV I tried to play but didn't feel totally useless. One of my shamans somehow managed to be 3rd top damage dealer without even full pvp blues. Warriors and aoe in general hurt me bad and raid leaders not putting me in the same group is making my life difficult.
Grats on the 70 ding. :) If you que as a group for AV, one of your toons should get lead.
To the others finding WSB, AB, And EOTS difficult- there is only one way to learn these. Play em. :) There is only one way to learn to deal with a rogue sapping your toons, blinding your main. Or a mage hopping around AE'ing. Die, get pissed off, and try again. :) Dont' get discouraged... and you will be amazed at how easily you handle those situations later on, when you have gear.

Is there any real way to deal with your guys getting split up and send to different graveyards? This is what makes me feel useless in the smaller BG's. Ill either be running around with 3 trying to find the other 2 who are doing nothing or sitting at the GY waiting for my others to respawn.

Best bet is to do one of two things:
if more than 1 guy dies, just try to make the rest of your guys die ASAP so you all end up at the same GY (this is easier with my lock team as I can just lifetap + hellfire)
Otherwise, try to res your guys as quickly as possible.
Not much you can do aside from that. You should be able to predict which GY they'll end up at based on who has what bases, etc, and start heading there immediately (unfortunately this wastes time but not sure theres a better way to do it).
