SO I've been lurking Dual-boxing.com for a long time now. I'm finally pretty sure about multiboxing. Although I have some questions,I'm gonna make a new computer, money is not a problem, I'm looking to know what are the best pieces I can put together and such for multiboxing. Basically I want to know the best pieces of tech. I can get to make this computer run fast as hell. Also if there is any pre-built company computers that are a good choice, please linkage. lol

howdy Arasoi and welcome to the forums!
there are a ton of options when building a rig. i'll toss one out, which is by no means then end-all-be-all... just a very solid box. (others will probably do the same)
my goal is to make a fast gaming system... as such, i don't care about internal storage. there are plenty of eSATA drives that have 500-1000GB storage.
case: CoolerMaster CM690 Nvidia Ed. ATX Case SLI Ready ('http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4177133&CatId=1842') $ 99.99

mainboard: EVGA nforce 780i SLI Motherboard - A1 Version, NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI, Socket 775 ('http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3523225&CatId=2014') $189.99 ($ 30 rebate available)
cpu: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Processor BX80569Q9550 - 2.83GHz, 12MB Cache, 1333MHz FSB, Retail ('http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3952342&CatId=2760') $349.99

cpu fan: Thermaltake CL-P0464 DuOrb CPU Cooler for AMD CPUs ('http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3829118&CatId=1588') $ 69.99
hard drive: Patriot Warp 64GB Solid State Hard Drive - SATA-300, 2.5" ('http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3956992&CatId=3801') $179.99 ($ 50 rebate available)
video card: BFG GeForce GTX 280, 1GB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0 x16, SLI Ready, Dual DVI, HDTV, HDMI ('http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3941064&CatId=3669') $384.99 (after rebates)

monitor: HP w2408h Vivid Color 24" Widescreen Flat Panel, 5ms, 1000:1, 400 nits, HDMI/HDCP ('http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3905519&CatId=3774') $459.99 (i have this one... awesome!)
os: Windows Vista Home Prem 64-bit DSP OEM DVD with Service Pack 1 ('http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3746812&CatId=3778') $109.99
subtotal: $ 2,259.87
mail-in rebates: $ 105.00
total: $ 2,154.87
of course, i would TOTALLY recommend one more thing... have the guys at the local compusa (or fry's?) assemble it for you.. MOST DEFINITELY worth it
assembly: $150.00
estimated total cost (without tax): $ 2,304.87

of course, you could get a second monitor... but that's up to you. i run a 5-box with a 4-stack on the right without any problem (i use the other monitor for reference sites)
good luck with whatever you end up with. and please... post some pics (with loads of specs, boxes and before/after pics!)

i have no idea, as i picked all the latest top-of-the-line hardware.
your fps will depend on the details you choose, maxfps/maxfpsbk settings, video resolution, and the number of wows you want to run on it.
i would imagine you should be able to get 30/42 fps. 50/50 fps might be pushing it, but you'd have to try it to find out.
edit:
i called Fry's in Anahiem, CA (714-688-3000)
service department will assemble computers.. $169.00 w/ os installed ($129 boots to bios)
takes about 2-5 days
30 day warranty from the time you pick it up
** you do not have to buy the parts in their store... just bring them the parts and they will assemble and test it

So that's all the top of the line stuff out there? Nothing better? I was assuming I could make a computer that could obtain atleast 60 fps in Shat on a high pop server, hmm.

the fps level you realize depends on numerous things. resolution, graphics cards, memory speed, bus speed, game details, etc.
keep in mind, there is no reason to have 60 fps on the 4 wow windows you aren't looking at.
personally, i prefer to keep my cpu load under 75% so i have plenty of cpu left over for web usage or what not

Well true, that's understandable, but I also plan to have a raiding main that I will raid on and I will dual-box on offtime.
