So one piece that many people skimp on is the chair...

For most of us sitting ina comptuer chair for 2-5 hours a day is probably not uncommon, if an understatment if your a raider or heavy player. Well almost everything is comfortable in the store you know? It all looks nice, and ive sat in some and im like yeah this would work you get one home... play for a few months and then your like man this thing sucks.

So what im looking for is pictures or reviews + links of the chairs that you use for computer usage, what you like and dislike about it and how it is for extended use.

You know I am kind of in the same boat I want a nice office chair but don't want to get the wrong one. I think I am going to end up going to a office supply store and try to get one like what I have at work. Budget for new chair is ~$500.

haha ... man oh man did I know that was coming.

But if anyone has any good recommendations, computer chairs seem to be the most expensive part of my whole setup =(... seriously why is a chair 200+ dollars ?

The same reason a good power supply costs $100. Because it is well made from quality components. A chair supports your body and in my opinion should not be skimped on. Look for a used Steelcase LEAP chair on eBay. Very comfy, highly adjustable and overall a solid chair. More so than the over hyped Aeron, in my opinion. Only downside is the cost - about $400 - $500 delivered although there are some deals now and again. Make sure if you get one that it has armrests and is "fully featured".

That or build your own chair, like I did.

The chairs we have at work are well over $750 each. When you sit in them 9 hours a day, 5 days a week and you have back problems, bam! that's workman's comp. A good chair is priceless.
