I felt this needed a message thread of its own. The following Blizzard forum thread had me a little worried for awhile. After some attention to it, it has been fixed by a Blizzard rep. It started with a player that had it in for me on Aegwynn but trying to justify to Blizzard Customer Support to put some sort of cap on the number of characters someone can multibox in the game.

I've participated in "raids" that involved hundreds of characters...and more than a few server crashes as a result. If anything, Blizzard actively encourages player-improvised events. If you're not actively trying to crash the server, they're not going to care. And if people lag in cities, well...Lagforge didn't get its nickname over multiboxers. They'll try to improve the rendering engine and so forth to make the game more accessible, but it's not their problem if people can't learn to turn their video settings down to something that works on their out-of-date hardware.

You and Sam are among the very few "full-raid" scale boxers...and there are no rules against opening a portal for your raid back to town after a run. The guy that started that thread is a just a dumbass. A loud dumbass, maybe, but not one that will have anyone at Blizzard listening. Maybe if someone was 300-boxing, there might be concerns. :D

Just two examples of why there's not a snowball's chance in hell of Blizzard doing anything like that (a little incoherent, but I'm tired, and it's clear enough). Aside from the whole "lead designer used to multibox" thing. Really, since the press over you guys started up recently, I'm getting many positive reactions from players that actually know WTF multiboxing is, and very few "zomg botter, hacker, gold farmer, I'm reporting you to my mommy!" hate tells. It's pretty sweet.

Was trying to help a boxer on al'akir at lvl 42 in tanaris. Me with 4 70 shamans.

He got camped by a 70 mage, i ganked the mage a couple of times.

A second mage joined, Bronte, the boxer died quite often because i couldn't keep track of them both.

Los came to help me out on his pally, so i could catch up with the hordes while mounted and still gank them.

Then 4 other horde come and camp me for 2,5-3 hours. I finally managed to HS out and now Bronte is being camped by them again. It should end somewhere, but the people who camped me and are camping bronte are really brainless. To bad we can do very little against it. Considering the horde - alliance ratio is 3 - 1 here and i'm alliance, doesn't help :P

But i can live with it, so far.

You know what...you could try not ressing for 15 minutes, taking a break, having a shower or lunch or going for a quick jog or forum posting or something similar. If I get killed in the world, come back to my body, res and find out the guy is camping me, that is the only 2 times he will kill me, because I just won't bother ressing again. Perfect opportunity to go afk for a bit. Let them wait for nothing til they get bored.

This even worked for me inside stormwind (i'm horde) while corpserunning my way to the stockades for the achievement.
Logged off to do something else for a while between rezzes, and the people who were trying to camp me were gone when i came back. (note that the would-be campers always died before me whenever i rezzed)

I spent two hours camping someone a few weeks ago dunno if you recall. Killed him three times he ran off. Killed him twice again when I caught up. He hearthed so I went off and did stuff then when he was back in hellfire (got a friend on horde to /who for me) I destroyed that stupid horde town just to gank him again. Then another 4 70's showed up so I camped them while I was camping this other guy. Can't remember exactly what he did but it must have been bad cause I never camp :O

Yes, that's the kind of people i'm dealing with here. Same thing happened tonight, allthough i managed to kill them a few times aswell. And because they were on my i hope Bronte had a better chance of questing.

He managed to get on a mount there were two of them... they went all out bubble/sprint/vanish/clos etc anyways I got em both. Actually I know why I killed him.

Him and his lowbie friend were in the same area.
They were taking on an elite and not doing too well so I helped kill it and let em be. (They didnt thank me)
A 70 from their guild comes along and attacks me. I was winning up until the stupid paladin starts healing him and that cost me my life.

It seems that you may have it in for a particular player. You may not like multiboxing, but targeted, long term harassment - even on a PvP realm - can indeed be considered a violation of our policies.

Multi-boxing, provided that no other exploitation, automation or violation of our policies is taking place, is not in and of itself a current violation of our policies. Should you wish to see our policies change, please feel free to make a post on our Suggestions forums to that effect.

In the meantime, I will be locking this thread. ROFL! Called out and beaten down, in less time than it takes me to order my morning frappuchino.

I hate it when you help horde kill something hard and they don't thank you for it, or in the case of when I helped 4 horde kill Overlord, they attacked me afterwards. Ooo, they payed for that.

Also, I hate it when you only want to kill one horde and the other won't leave you alone, even with you not attacking back and just healing and emoting /shoo, they just keep attacking and eventually you just have to put them down.

PS: Who hates the magic brooms? So annoying that people can just run away then insta mount to safety :(

Nah when I was killing that pally like 8 other horde came and went and I let em be. One even waved at me :)

That CM was outstanding. Basically said "you may be pointing one finger at him, but look at the other 3 pointing at yourself."

Quite frankly we are a small group that have the means of doing this which doesn't seem to hard. I could've thrown money out the window, but instead I did what most of these people fail to do, sacrifice alittle. Instead of eating subway pizza all the time for lunch, I take a sack lunch of fruit & peanut butter & jelly. I've saved almost $80 alone this month do that & what do you know, my 5 accounts are paid for.
