So basicly I'm looking for a as flat as possible keyboard looking something like this.

____________
/__/__/__/__/

without much depth or edges.

I've no knowledge about breaking apart keyboards, but think it is possible to for example ninja a keyboards F1 through F4 and plug it in a usb so it will work? :/

Reason for it is that I need a few keys extra on my nostromo for some minor things I might need in PvP, which I don't have room for anymore. But I don't want to move my hand to my main keyboard in those pvp situations. (Not a lazy thing, but to increase response times. :P )

Anyone has tried destroying keyboards for this kinda thing? xD

maybe map something to your mouse?
maybe use more macros?
maybe use a usb number pad?
maybe have footpedals?

thats all i can think of.

I dont have time to look itup but there is some kind of key thing that lets you place keys on a mat anywhwere you want you could put a trackball (normal kind) in the middle I think and have those movable keys around the edges. Or your nordstrom can be surrounded by more keys. Or umm does the belken or siatech pads have more keys then the nordstrom?

Otherwise get a mouse with more keys some company makes a 14 button mouse or something google stainless and mouse and world of warcraft.

You can purchase stand alone numpads that may suit your needs. Depending on budget and your future needs, there is the xkey desktop ('http://www.xkeys.com/xkeys/xkdesk.php') that is only 20 keys but it may be too big for your needs. There is also the xkey sticks ('http://www.xkeys.com/xkeys/xkstick.php') that are 16 keys long and a flat bar. Heck, I velcro'd my xkey stick to the bottom trim of my monitor!

Here is an xkey foot pedal ('http://www.xkeys.com/xkeys/xkfoot.php')for your enjoyment also.

Good luck.
