5 Warlocks.
When I asked him about it, he said he used only one computer, but he didn't know what keyclone was...
He alt+tabbed all 5 accounts on one monitor for 28 levels...
He thanked me quite a bit when I sent him here ;-).

When I played EQ1 I alt tabbed 3 on one machine and 3 on another to fill out my groups. Thank god they had delayed casting so my dps were a simple alt tab/ one key and back to the healer screen. lol
This was before I found WinEq which allowed me to hotkey the window changes (pre G15 also). Ugh.
This guy is really dedicated.
edit: You could push mobs with melee, so you had to pin them in place with 2 melee. One on each side of the mob. That made switching between melee important to keep them aligned.

I used to play EQ1 with four boxes.
Pretty much two desks set up in an L shape.
Healer druid, healer cleric, rogue and bard.
One of my roommates would play a shaman and the other a warrior.
Could farm a lot of stuff with that set up.
The bard would just play the combination heal/mana song,
because melodies were not implemented yet, and there was
no way I'd twist songs, while healing on two accounts and
clicking backstab with the rogue's auto attack on.
Keyclone is so much better.

heh,
I used to multibox EQ with a few budys (3) Players we would field almost 27 characters. Leveling was easy, just did AOE groups, or extra characters out of group healing lol. Got crazy xp and AA pts. We got into doing everything that wasnt Omens of War related for instances, clearing SSra temple, Vex Thal a good portion of the Planes of Power all multi boxed lol. Stuff was pretty hard back then, we were doing this right after omens of war released. We also used to do a 7 man avatar of war.
No one knows dedication till you do a 7 person fight against arch lich rhag zadune, it would take us like 3 hours of killing. oh we also did the Human guy lord seru with about 8 people. At the time these were some records, now its all faded away =(.
Im playing the slow and nasty way by choice atm till i can get some in person advice on how to make everything work. My Tech Support is on holidays (lucky duck)
It gets confusing with my Twin Shaman but its possible if i remember to keep it in a flow and face Lei the right way or park her in one spot and do the running about with Sky, most often i find that i break follow while controlling Lei and she gets left behind or gets hung up on something - i tend to find also that she survives longer than Sky sometimes for these reasons
Maelovus & Admonia are currently being run as a Lock with a passive healer/Buffer thats only used when needed

Dam, id give that guy some of my internets if i had them :(
Ahh, a lot of fellow EQ players here.
When I played EQ, I would 6 box, before I had even heard of Keyclone. I 3 boxed Guild Wars (which was uber efficient at securing the top spot in Factions, when that came out - until people started creating bots to do the job of a skilled player :P ), 2 boxed Shadowbane, and then I came to WoW, where I started 2 boxing, until I started to think of better ways to control multiple characters (although, I never really minded having to press a button on a different keyboard when I needed something).
The only issue I could see in WoW vs EverQuest is that the fights in WoW are much quicker than the EQ fights. EQ seemed to be more forgiving, in that you could last through quite a few hits before you really *needed* a heal. Plus with EQ, if you had an enchanter to CC stuff, you were golden. WoW is much different; the fights are quicker, and you're often faced with packs of 3-5 mobs on any given pull - which makes quick healing essential.

I used to dual box shammy and warrior with 2 keyboards, but damn, that is whacked lol. He is going to love you when he realises how much easier it is.
PS: Although, you did thell him there are free key broadcasting programs too didn't you? Instead of just the program you have to pay for...

i ran a guy through several instances who had two toons RAF'ed. he was using the alt-tab/follow the whole time. i suggested programs that will broadcast keystrokes to him but aparently he was kinda scared of being banned for that. well, i will soon have several more conversations with him about this. the plus side of this is that he does have a 70 druid and will probably, more than likely return the favor when i need my lowbies boosted. hehe.
