Hey Guys,
I made a leveling guide for myself for Wrath. I have every zone with steps for the most efficient leveling path.
Question is, woud you guys be interested in this? I could clean it up for public use, but it'll take about a week to do so (just in time!).
If enough people think this is worthwhile, I'd probably release it in sections, like a zone a day or something.
Thoughts?

It'd be nice to have a clue, for those of us who weren't in the beta. So I'm all for it! :)
Question for you, does it look like leveling through instancing would work as well as in TBC? (e.g. you gain 1/4 or 1/3 of a level just by clearing an instance...)

From my experience, you get maybe 1/2 the exp / hr as you would questing.
It's about 50/50 when you have double exp.
It's about 50/50 when you don't have double XP, but you have asshats overcrowding zones.
However there are 2 starting zones, so it should be basically 1/2 as bad as hellfire

Is this horde or alliance or both?

FOR THE HOR... oh wait.. Alliance. :D :D

Well... I was going to tell you how interested I would be in this guide and shed many accolades upon your very name. But you had to go and be Alliance... yuck... =)
I would be very interested Suvega!

I'm interested. If you'd like someone to go over it and clean things up I'd be happy to work on sections for you.

Yea, I'd love a copy. Will save me trying to /who you all the time to see where I should be.
As for the hordies, wouldn't the quest start to be the same after a certain point? I mean there are only so many faction specific quests.

Could be nice to get some pointers defently... I have not played the WOTLK beta, so I have no clue as in what is in store for me in less than 2 weeks :)

Unfortunetly souca like 90% of hte quests are faction specific. Most hubs are faction specific which results in quests being faction specific.
Exceptions are like Zul'Drak, and K3.
Anyways, the guide is also focused around Multiboxing, so it includes group quests, and avoids collection quests where possible. (Or tells you when you can easily skip a collection quest without fear of losing a good chain).

That would be great Souvega, I am not sure if my alliance crew will be ready to go by then but they should be fairly close and should be able to start maybe a week later. Besides I am on PVP server and I will get ganked so much it would be better to wait a bit and let it die down, will probably bring my 70's and learn the instance some so that I will know them already by the time the crew gets there.

Is this the "pretty sweet" thing you were coding?
I'd pay for this!

The "pretty sweet" thing I've been workign on has been me slaving away for teh GF on creating a new blogosphere o multiboxing site:
LFG: Blog-boxers! ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=15876')
The guide I created a bit ago (around septemberish) for myself, but I figured people might be interested in it.
Gonna take a bit of work to get it acceptable, and even then the "initial" release will be just plain text (sorry no wowhead links or anything). However if it gets good feedback and people like it, I will be sure to update it to be a bit more user friendly :)

If you have the time and inclination, please clean it up and post away !!!
Post it and I'm sure other people will contribute to clean it up / make links.

I'd say post it in it's current for and let the community clean it up. You've already done enough work, now let the people who are getting it for free return the favor and make it look all purty.

I would love a copy of the WOTLK MB Guide
Hey check out TourGuide. ('http://www.tekkub.net/addons/TourGuide') It’s fairly easy to learn. Also take a team though your guide with the TourGuide Recorder ('http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info10499-TourGuideRecorder.html#info') and most of the work is done for you.
(Also :TourGuide Recorder ('http://www.tekkub.net/addons/TourGuide_Recorder') on Tekkub’s site)
Just my thoughts this is your baby. I’m happy with anything you can give us.
I’m sure many of us here, Alliance and Horde could post our TourGuide recorder file here for others to convert in to TG files and or Transcripts for other to use.

A MB friendly leveling guide for WotLK would be amazing.
Thank you for taking the time to make this, and for sharing with the community.
You rock!

Gief and I'll send you a crate of goldfarmers.
Do you want a free shotgun with that?
Thank you, drive through.
But really, this would rock my world.
The end of this week is the start of my 4 week vacation (holiday, whatever.. NO WORK is the bottomline)
I have bought 5 tickets for Northrend, my plane departs at the 13th and I'm intending to get the most out of it,
preferably I start raiding before those weeks are over :D
Thanks in advance for your help in this

I agree, I would most definitely be interested in such a guide.
As others have said too, if you need any help with "making it pretty" feel free to ask :).

Alright, I'll have it ready for WoTLK. So don't buy anyone elses, you got one FREE! I'll probably release in sections, with the first 2 zones for launch, and the periodically releasing the next few. (Since I plan on pretty much 80 in a couple of days, I want to use the leveling bit to make sure I didn't f' up anything :P).
Also I was looking around, and although joanna, and brian and them still have yet to release a guide, they are all "zomg here it comes, geev money".... So don't feel offended when I plaster donate buttons everywhere :P
Just wanted to let you know I would use such a guide for one of my teams : )
Thanks for the offer!
Bumping to vote for a Tour Guide version of it.
Super simple, super awesome addon. Used in conjunction with LightHeaded and TomTom, it definitely beats having just a static reference for leveling.

Definetly will in the future. For now think of this as a "hey I plan on making a guide, here is the raw data for my friends to use for now" type release
It's very raw, but usable ;)

Suvega - I would love to see & use your MB guide- ALLY FTW! :) I'm sure I'll need it... never played much of the beta, wanted to keep the experience all shiny and new for when it came out proper.
Just in case hordies feel a little left out I thought I'd mention that Jame from wow-pro ('http://www.wow-pro.com/leveling_guides/') has made some Wrath levelling guides too (both ally and horde guide are there).
They look pretty good too :)

I got really excited for a minute.... Then saw that you play alliance. /cry

Otherwise the site is awesome. Also guide up tonight probably with first zone.

Not that you need another datum, but I would also be very happy if you produced this guide. I'd mostly planned on 'muddling through'. :-D I'd be willing to record via TourGuide, but I think I will level more slowly than most people (thus it won't really do anyone any good).
Anyway, thanks in advance! :D
