There has been alot of talk lately about 10 boxing on one pc, so I thought I should give it a go since I already had the accounts in place (raf ftw).

Specs:
Quad Core Q6700
Gfx 9800GTX 512
7200 rpm HDD
8 gigs of RAM
Vista 64
One monitor
Keyclone

Toons:
1 Prot Warrior 70
4 Shammies 70
1 Prot Paladin 64
3 Warlocks 64
1 Priest 64

With this setup I got almost no lag in shatt, only a little while zoning in, follows don't break. Everything runs pretty smoothly. So now I knew I could do it, yay!

On to Zul Gurub.

Setting up everything isn't any differant from setting any other multiboxing toon, just takes longer. Only real differance in game play is that I have more formation keys. I did try to use both tanks but since I out gear ZG something aweful I didn't bother using 2 tanks for long. I sat my paladin to heal instead :) I didn't have time to do more than a few bosses. But everything was pretty easy, the mobs fell at an aweful rate.

Although this is very doable with a relativ cheap system. My setup cost about $1800 or 10000 NOK. Question now is do you have the time to level up 2 sets of 5 toons? Do you want to do 10 man raids on your own? Then I say go for it.

I don't think I will keep 10 boxing, for me it's the 5 man content that keeps me logging everyday. Just the thought of 10 epic flying mounts make me sick.

BUT!!! It is indeed possible to do on one PC, which was what I wanted to know, just in case I want to raid on my own someday.

Good job... nice to be able to sign your own guild charter :)

Are you symlinking? Or using multiple wow folders?

The only difference in my system from this is the Video Card (ATI Radeon 4870 I have) and (8 Gigs of RAM) I only got 4.

Hey man more power to ya,

The single monitor definitely is alot easier on your fps but cuts down on your flexibility between accounts (which is why I like running 2 screens because it makes for an easier time because I can just basically jump from window to window if need be.. But it cuts my fps in half which sucks... was thinking of getting another video card to put in and do it that way to boost the fps back up but im not 100% sure it would have the intended effect)

But ya 10 toons multiple classes on one comp with one monitor and only one screen up at a time ? must of been fun setting up :D

ok, wow... nice work.

what fps are you getting? what do you set it to in your commands?

are you using maximizer? what kind of layout?

are you seeing all 10 at once? if so, can you post a screencap of the entire screen?

All the screens overlap each other, I set main window to max 27 fps, and background to 10. I have been playing with maximizer, but I found that the windows did get a bit small. If I were to do this proper I would set up another screen, and just run 5 windows on both screens, Main screen with main tank and second screen with main healer. The biggest problem I felt I had was positioning during to boss pulls, but all this is just cosmetic stuff which I think will not be a problem to overcome.
