Thunderstorm knockback getting removed?

As it says in a blue post on mmo-champion Thunderstorm and typhoon might be getting its knockback removed by getting a glyph . This is the bluepost saying *Glyphs to remove knockback effects on some abilities
We are considering glyphs that will allow players to remove the knockback from Typhoon, Thunderstorm and Blast Wave in return for some other benefit, such as more damage or a cooldown reduction. You could then use these glyphs when raiding and not make the tanks mad.

Well anyway just keeping you guys up to date if it does get removed then what are we going to do for cc?

I don't understand the problem. If you need a glyph to remove the knockback, then... don't get the glyph, and the knockback remains?

They already stated that the time you use to run in and use thunderstorm on a raid boss lowers your dps so with higher damage or if you get more mana back it wont be that bad.

If they increase the damage i might try it, atleast for the arena! :)

Yes, the knockback is not always desired when you are attempting to kill people in 5v5, it's easier to lay down heavy AoE if you don't get the knockback effect. It makes sense to remove or add the knockback via glyphs.

The glyph for removing the knockback will be a PvE thing. For PvP a combo of staggered imp novas ( once the stun is in ) and TSs will make PvP much easier for us. On beta, with 3 shamans, I have much more survivability than I do on live. Also, with ret palies getting nerfed, our PvP will be safer hehe!

I find that tanks get upset when I use TS in raids.Really screws up threat for pally tanks in Hyjal. I just BoP the healers and /lol @ the dps who gets owned.

I took my team to do a run with the guild for AQ20 and when the tank would gather the bugs I go in an TS and send them flying it was funny, of course he knew who it was that did it since I was the only one with shaman there, well the other was an Enh shaman and don't have TS. But it was fun to see all those bugs go flying. We just burned through the whole place even the last guy which I got the head of as well as ZG which I got the head of last guy. Fun run, hope they do MC this weekend I want to tame a corehound with my 70 hunter.
