I tried a heroic last night and wipled twice on trash. I never even got to the first boss.
My tank was taking big hits and my healer was struggling to keep up. I figured my tank and healer would be ready, but seems not yet.
In my signature you can see the team I am running with. I got rid of one of my DPS shammy for a Balance Druid. The druid is not very well geared yet, but with the moonkin aura and the Earth and Moon debuff, he adds a lot to the team I think.
Please look over my team and let me know what I could be doing differently. Is my team ready and if not what do I need to get to make them ready? Seems there is nothing more that is worth getting in "normal" instances and I cannot find a way to get more spell power on any of them with instance gear. Maybe I am missing something?

If it's just ramparts you tried, make sure to kill the destroyers first, they have a mortal strike debuff, and overall the mobs in Ramparts hit quite hard. (BF is a lot worse, though :P)
Your team should be able to do heroics, but you'll need to keep focus since a blue tank takes big and a lot of hits. When one of my teams hits 70 I always do a couple of kara runs with them first (with other people, of course) to leech some gear. Makes things a lot easier because you can make 'fuckups' and still be able to recover due to gear.

If you're trying your first heroic I'd suggest going to slavepens or botanica.
Now looking at your chars, you might consider taking 3/3 imp watershield with your resto. I love it. Also natures swiftness is a really handy o shit button.
Elemental weapons and also +heal in general isn't all that good anymore since you can no downrank anymore. I'd try to get enough add heal to make sure your tank survives if you spam heal him (which you most likely have already) and then go for regen.
As for your tank, you might consider getting the head enchant from kot. Perhaps also change some of the stamina gems for stamina + dodge or stamina + def.
So, you're for sure around the gear level I started doing heroics or better.
How do you pull / fight a group? You should get used to stun one mob with your paladin an nuke it with the dps toons. That way you have to tank less.
Also since 3.0.x you can now use your divine shield while tanking (well, the version you got with level 1, not the newer version) to get a 50% dmg reduction.
So, in short, I'd simply try an easier heroic, ramps (and any of the hellfire ones) have really hard hitting melee mobs, which can destroy your tank pretty fast :)
kind regards

Your pally only has 472 def, change some of Your gems around to have 490. Getting crits 11k hp wont get You far.

What he said.
I did heroic Botanica and Mechanar yesterday as my first ones and I haven't bothered that much with gearing my guys with the expansion on the horizon.
use devotion aura if you're not, everything else is pointless 95% of the time
same with stoneskin totem(~800 armor) and strength of earth totem (some block value, armor, dodge)
there are some simple upgrades for your tank..
150 health or 16 defense to your chest
120 armor or 12 defense to cloak
10 stamina armor kit to boots (the same thing you used on your gloves)
scryer shoulder enchant (two arcane tomes = ~10g, super cereal just buy it)
netherwing defender's shield (chain quest in smv) with 18 stamina, it should take ~30 minutes if you do it on just one character, or get the merciless gladiator's shield
adamantite figurine(shadow labyrinth second boss) it might drop the first time or never
devil shark cloak is better than yours (last boss in steamvaults) but random drops are random
timewarden's legs (revered with keepers of time)
head enchant from being revered with keepers of time (I recommend just getting it over with)
bracers of the green fortress if you have money
12 strength (block value)to bracers if you're cheap or 12 stamina if you're rich
Kicksome

Ramps is tough - if you pull 3 mobs - that's 3 guys hitting for 2-4K each or up to 12K damage each round.
I'd try Bot if I were you. make sure you just spam heals on the tank.

Ok I will give Bot a chance and then Mech as well. As for spamming heals, is spamming Chain Heal the best thing to do or should I spam Lesser healing wave or the Normal Healing Wave?

Chain is a waste of mana and less hps if you're only going to hit the tank

I'd recommend starting with Slave Pens. You can skip most of the groups that are difficult by timing them. I'd say Bot is the next easiest since you can skip any boss you don't like fighting. Ramps won't be bad once you get some more hps and mitigation. You are geared about where I was when I started heroics. Then again if you wait 2 weeks you could probably get greens that will make you a lot stronger than you are now with little effort.
