Just looking for opinions. Atm I've given up on my shaman teams since I started them for PvP and I'm not happy w/ everything needing an arena points and/or ratings since I despise the Arena....

Anyway, I'm back w/ my PvE team on a PvE server.
Paladin......way easier w/ consecration:)
Priest (holy)
Warlock x3 (affliction x3)

With the changes in buffs etc am I gimping myself too too much with 3 warlocks all affliction? I'm intending them to run instances and heroics in the expac eventually....(still low level atm w/o RAF.)
Atm, things drop incredibly fast to 3 warlocks, 1 round of dots, 3 imps and 1 SB that doesn't always go off before the mob dies. I've always enjoyed the warlock so I'd rather keep them if it's only a small loss in effectiveness.

Opinions? (Particularly anyone's that played beta content at 80.)

Multiple affliction warlocks work well together. Same attack methodology, also there's this little darling of a talent called "Soul Siphon" that makes your Drain Life seriously OP once a few quick dots each are on the victim...er, target. Staggered instant HoT is funny too.

Oh, obviously only give one guy Malediction. Also, Improved Healthstone (Demo), you can get three candies if you give all three a different level in it (0,1,2) which is pretty fun.

With a paladin, priest and warlock, you have a respectable level of buffing already. Aura, blessings, fort, COE and pet buffs. A totally mixed team could squeeze out more, but in your case you have to decide whether some 5-10% DPS increase or whatever is worth it to level more characters. Also, the three soulstones are a good way to give you that extra push on a tough boss to make up for your composition.

If you were running a PVE team of all shaman still, I would say it'd be worth rerolling a couple new characters. For you, it's totally your call.

Thanks guys, kinda what I was thinking myself. Always good to have someone else look at something for second opinion in case not seeing something:)

My best setup ive tried though is pure dps 4 shamans with a boomkin. Sounds weird but you get the moonkin aura and mow so you get two buffs one adds health and mana other increases spell damage plus all four can heal. I mean chain heal and dots plus mad dps is insane. I know in a pvp setting most will go straight after moonkin cause they will think thats the main so i always put him as the last one in my group to switch to.

I have been thinking about this setup, as at the moment i have Paladin mage mage lock priest, but the mages always seem to run out of mana, With the right macro and demo speced i can keep my warlock casting non stop shadow bolts forever

ohh i do use mana gems and evocate and they can still run out on really long fights like Prince in kara and the lock is always ALWAYS full mana thanks to adding lifetap in a shadow bolt macro, but i just cant force myself to swap out my mages as i so love their ports and free mana biscuits:)
