Here in the UK, the launch event will take place at HMV in London at 150 Oxford Street, London, W1D 1DJ, with doors opening at 00:01 on the night of the 12th/13th. As well as being among the first to acquire the expansion, attendees will have an opportunity to meet with COO Paul Sams and associate producer Lee Sparks, who will be present to welcome players and sign their copies. http://eu.blizzard.com/en/press/081030.html
I'm tempted, but having to catch the night bus back home really puts me off...

I live in London but I only give rides to hot chicks - and the chance of a WoW player also being a hot chick is, frankly, minimal...
If playing computer games was cool we'd all be partying at the playboy mansion...
On a serious not, is it worth going just for a look? I've preordered WotLK from Amazon but it might be fun to have a look at the heaving crowd.

I've ordered my 5 copies from Play.com, and i'm in no rush to install them, as i have 5 teams to level from 60-70
any suggestions for (free) parking? would be trekking in from Sutton and I think the trains stop at midnight

I think it would definitely be worth a look.
I remember a picture of a couple with their child queuing up for Burning Crusade. They were all costumed up with their daughter dressed as a warlocks imp (I think). Talk about emotional scarring for that poor child.
Got to be worth going along just to laugh at people like this.

avoid the car parks like the plague, as they are all NCP and will charge you between £4-8 per hour. After 6.30pm you can park on single yellow lines or in metered parking spaces for no charge (you just have to find one available)

Let's have a meet up then. Anyone keen? I can pop into the city for a feed, and we could hang out a pub / restaurant until the queuing begins. The night bus will take a maximum of an 1 1/2 hours for me, so I could do this. Plus I want a CE and I guess this opening is a good as place as any to get one. This also may be my last chance to be even more of a geek than I already am and go to one of these.
Wilbur, can you recommend a good pub around the area?

Around Oxford street? Or just Central London?

Central London would be fine, I guess, as long as I can stumble my way to HMV Oxford St without getting hit by anything...

Hehe, I think yer scooby will be safe in central london, people will barely notice it.
I once had the opportunity to steal a black Lambourghini - I was in a car park getting the ticket to go out and this ass driving the Lambo drove up to the machine (blocking everyone in the process), strode to the front of the queue and pushed his way in - leaving the lambo with the door open and the engine running - it was sorely tempting not to teach him a lesson
Seriously though, how should multiboxers identify themselves to other multiboxers in the real world? Wear 5 hats on one top of another? Drag a shopping trolley full of clones around behind ourselves? Is there a multiboxing t-shirt/hat/badge/logo?
