What do you think is the best 5v5 setup to run with 4 shammies at the moment?
I have been playing with a retri pala, and it's quite fun and the games are quick, but we have only had moderate success, slowly losing rating.
Any other fun suggestions? I have been pondering maybe arcane mage for extra mega AOE burst damage with TS and novas.
What you think? Maybe a holy priest for CoH, now that everyone and their grandmother have ridiculous AoE damage?

I haven't gotten much Arena in, but Holy Paladin sounded awesome with the beacon of light ability.

Had a really rough time against:
Enhancement-sham, Resto-sham, Mage, Retripala, Discpriest.
Lots of grounding totems and people wouldn't die. Retripala bubbles and 2-shots one of my guys.. hello balanced pvp! Immortal dudes that can kill anything they touch.. uh-huh, working as intended. =(
They farmed us for ~80 rating... we beat them twice I think.
HOWEVER I had a very good time playing with a Holy priest.. very VERY nice to have CoH, he was keeping the team alive without effort for minutes. Guardian spirit is awesome aswell for surviving the initial burst, especially retripalas and mages. Just make sure you drop 3-4 mana spring to keep his mana from going out.

Just played ~20 games with a holy pala.. not very convinced.. doesn't feel much stronger than when I play with retri pala. Still losing rating, slowly. I really want to try with a holy priest, but they are so hard to find.

Did 10 games last night. First 5 battles where in blade's edge if i'm correct. The one with the bridge. Got ganked 5 times by 2 or 3 4-5 dpsteams. Fastest team had me + my shaman healer in full S4 exept for shoulders down in a matter of seconds.
After those 5 games we entered Ruins of lordean... And had a blast. My healer is a male dreanei, my shamans are female, so smaller. I parked my 4 shamans in a corner in the spawnarea, my healer put his character over my chars. So the only visible was my healer and 4 fire totems. After some waiting, i guess the horde only thought there were 2 shamans inside. Littleburst and my healer. Since the different i is pretty hard to spot if you don't know it. So after a minute or so the other team slowly comes to us. Warrior walks in and i 2 shot him with EM + CL etc + shocks. Priest comes in, walks to us, fears, tremor, i TS him to the other end of the room and kill him. etc etc. We won 4 games this way.
That was so much fun and i highly suggest others to give it a shot. The biggest downside is that it only works once, because there's no team stupid it enough to try and enter my spawnarea again. :D

Will try that. Good for stealing back some rating from a team that is farming you. :)

What kind of teams do you play against? :S
It clearly tells how manny players that are inside the arena on both teams :P Well i guess it works against certain people who dont use proximo! :P

But if you meet a team for the first time, you're almost guaranteed that they will enter your spawnroom at a certain point. So that shouldn't be a problem.
btw: does anyone have succes with spreading out their chars to decrease the amount of damage you get from a 4 dps with AoE spells team. Like druid, ret, mage, lock, priest. That + Belf silence = dead, pretty much.
I often manage to drop 1 character by just EM + CL and shock him while they're running to me though. So that helps a bit.
