For dual boxing in 2v2 arenas would 2 mages or 2 locks be viable?

Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

Read forums!!!! Use search!!!!!

In fairness to the poster, this is the sort of question that belongs in an FAQ that people must take a quiz over before they're allowed to post.

for boxing only 4 characters + seperate healer works. In 2vs2 and 3vs3 the disadvantage boxing brings with it is a lot bigger then the advantage of 'nuking' if you want to call it that with just 2 mages.

Till now only 4 shaman has been succesfully boxed in arena as far as i know.

Just depends on what you feel qualifies as successful. I took 3 shamans in a 5v5 to 1800+. Considering my all time high as a solo player in a 5v5 was around 1900, I feel that was okay for my own skill level. But in 2v2 or 3v3, I doubt I could ever break 1600 on a consistent basis. But then again, that's not that bad either for the average player. If it's fun for you, it doesn't really matter what your rating is.

Before patch 3.x I managed with my s4 Warrior and my s2 paladin 1700. But its really difficult and you have to move the chars most of the time seperatly.
I don't think you have enough burst with 2mages or warlocks on level 80...

For plenty of people breaking 1700 is hard enough. If i imagine how hard that must be while controlling pally / warr... Great job!

lol im finding it hard enough to get a good team at all on my mage who is geared nicely and i play well. i just get crap teams a stick with then lol never even made 1600 but i know i have the potential to do it lol but i think once i get my 3 shams into arena i'll b happy with even a 1300 rating i'll just arena all day every day XD gonna b awesome

Arena is easy if you have the knowledge of every cooldown and skill from every class. Otherwise it will always be difficult or lucky...
Before 3.x it was easy to hi 1700 with the knowledge of everyclass in everysetup. Even 2x RetributionPaladin was easy with a mate.
I always prefered arenamates with blue gear and the knowledge of everyclass. Never play with a s3 player who never broke the 1550 or 1600 rating...
If you never made 1600 with a mate (not dualboxing) you can't really say that you play well in arena.

At the moment I don't play arena anymore. I will try it againg in S.5 with 2x elemental schaman and Warrior Paladin.

sorry for my English...
