Okay so i have been reading through the forums about set-ups and such for dual boxxing just way over my head. So im hoping you genious dual boxers can help. First ill give you my specs, i have a very good pc and video card so hardwares not a problem. Atm im dual boxing 2 wow accounts, same computer, with 2 monitors so i have one game on each screen.. As of right now just been alt +tabbing and winging it, a little too much effort i think and seen ways to reduce all the work and clicking im doing. Okay So what i was really looking for was a way to reduce having to switch screens so freakin much, i downloaded twobox addon and i purchased keyclone today but im not sure its going to work for what im looking for because seems this works only if u are using the same classes? maybe im wrong. IM lvling druid paladin atm for my duo btw with the recruit a friend xp bonuses. So anyways now that i have explained all that this is what im shootin for help with, A) some way to send the heal attack spell commands from one keyboard with out have to alt tab if possible? Or some kind of commands, i read on this article bout this guy using voice commands to do pretty much everything on his slave toon which sounded sweet. And im thinking keyclone might take care of this but when i have my slave auto followed on the master ( toon i play ) if i just want him to attack i have to drag the mob into his range or hes not close enough ya get me? Thats a big pain in the butt lemme tell yah. So all in all im just looking for a more simple way to command and work my slave with out having to switch between the games so darn much, i mean i press alt tab like 10 times it seems per mob. So im not sure if that makes any sense at all lol.. but thanks for any feedback or help (sorry for the long sob story)

P.S. I screwed up when donating to get keyclone, i just donated i didnt do it through the installation part so it would go active...

Hello and welcome :)

First off, Keyclone and other programs don't require you to use the same class, they just send your keystrokes to every instance of WoW you have open. So all you have to do is put your spells on the same key bind for each client, for example have 2 mages, each with fireball set to be used when you push 1. Since you're leveling a pally and a druid I would suggest have the Pally be your main and spec the Druid as balance so you don't have to be in melee range to attack and you can just spam your spells while the Pally uses it's melee skills. As for healing you simply have your Druid focus on your Pally and your Pally focus on your druid and have them heal when needed by binding your heals to, for example, F1 for the druid healing the pally and F2 for the pally to heal the druid. The Macros Section of the Wiki (http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Macros) will have lots of macros that can help you with this to get you started.

Good luck

I don't know If this is any help, but I am Dual Boxing since yesterday as well.

I still got a lot to learn, and realized boxing toons isn't as easy as it would seem like! I got 2 warlocks and have all the spells on the same spots. All pretty basic, I use autohotkey to send my commands to the non-active window. So far this works (although much tweaking is still needed).

The only moments I need to switch screens so far is to take quests and turn them in (or to loot items for a quest). I got free for all loot on so I can always loot.

There is off course the movement problem, where if i only turn aound to fight an enemy, my friend stands still facing the wrong direction, but other then that it seems to go well.

Dont got a clue if I helped! :P

once you get keyclone working you wont have to push alt tab at all. and without keyclone there is a way to switch without alt tabbing. that is to set the game in windowed mode from the video settings menu. and uncheck the maximized box. that way you can drag the windows wherever you want and you can always just move your mouse from one to the other freely. although once its all setup you wont have to change windows unless interacting with npcs or micro managing items and junk. also the other poster was right you dont need to use the same class. youre just gonna have to work out the places to put your keybinds and whatnot. also trying to do two melee at first will be a pain in the butt. id suggest a melee and a caster as well just like the other guy. anyways definitely keep reading the wiki pages and expirimenting and eventually itll all become clear. hope you get the keyclone thing ironed im sure you will hes a nice guy. just send him a PM about it he'll answer back in no time.
